"An absolute dream in Yogyakarta, superbly located. We had the junior suite for €65 per night... an absolute gem. Ozzy is incredibly helpful and always willing to help. The entire complex is so beautifully designed and relaxing... almost like a museum. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the morning muezzin call from the mosque next door (the hotel can't do anything about that, though); you should expect that when traveling in Indonesia. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful stay."
"This hotel I recommend for travelers. The breakfast was good selection. The hotel was very clean. The pool was clean. The staff was very friendly. Location was good. I will be definitely returning. the rooms were very nice and comfortable. "
"Disappointing. I’ve stayed at the Kimaya a few times before, and it’s not as good as it was. The best thing about the hotel is the friendly car park staff. The rooms are dated, the bed not particularly comfortable, the bathroom badly laid out, small, smelly, and veritably not spotlessly clean. I don’t blame the cleaners - how do you clean a bath when you have no access to it?
The reception staff are superficially friendly and efficient enough. Our biggest gripe was that the hotel refuses to take food delivery, which must be left outside by the gate. And they won’t tell you that it’s arrived. It’s a strange policy, especially considering the room service menu is not that great.
Breakfast is ok, again, not as good as it was.
As a regular visitor to Jogja, I hoped that the Kimaya would be my regular hotel for many years. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be back."
"In general we are quite satisfied with the condition of the rooms, cleanliness and food. Coincidentally we got a room on the 6th floor. The thing that needs to be improved is the WiFi connection which is quite difficult on the 6th floor, but in the lobby it is quite smooth. Apart from that, the position of the prayer room is on the basement floor which is less representative. Hopefully it can be repaired and improved in the future. Thank you (Edwar Alizar)."
"A good hotel in a good location that’s got a weak spot, which is its food. We had a double room that was a great size with a very big bed furnished with comfortable linen. The a/c worked well and was relatively quiet. There was in room tea and coffee and bottled water.
We ate at the hotel twice, and declined breakfast after looking to see what was available. For breakfast, while we were around 40 minutes from the end of service the food looked meagre and unappetising. There was the opportunity to have omelettes etc, but we decided against it.
We ate in the rooftop restaurant, ordering spaghetti bolognese, chicken wings, spring rolls and a pizza. The food took a while to arrive and when it did it all came at once. All of the food was tepid at best and seemed as if it had been waiting to be collected and brought from the ground floor to the top floor. The bolognese was acceptable with the pasta being cooked al dente. The spring rolls had gone soggy and the wings, being just warm, were cooked ok but the sauce they were covered in was sickly sweet. The pizza was not cooked. The toppings appeared to be cooked but the base was raw. The dough was uncooked and inedible. We pointed this out and we were told it could be cooked further. We decided that probably wouldn’t improve it much. The staff offered a replacement, but again we decided that it would take too long and asked for it to be taken off the bill.
The second time we ate at the hotel we used the ground floor restaurant. Once again the food was disappointing. The oxtail soups contained beef that was not tender but tough, although the clear broth was tasty. The pasta of beef Alfredo, which was advertised as containing beef, mushrooms, etc was served with just a few pieces of what looked like smoked beef in a claggy sauce. Again, it appeared as if the meal had been sitting on the counter waiting for the waiters to deliver it to the table and had lost its heat. The fruit salad platter and banana fritters were very good.
Service at the hotel, from reception staff through to housekeeping was very good.
Overall, I’d stay again by I would avoid the restaurants."
"The location is very good, downtown, close to everywhere. There is a Cinema across the road. The room is clean. The hotel in new and clean. The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is delicious."
"I just wanted to share my heartfelt thanks for the excellent service I have consistently received during my stays at this hotel. This is not my first time staying here, and I am always impressed with the warm hospitality and comfort you provide.
In 2019, I brought my friends along, and in 2020, I returned with my mum and her friends. This year in 2024, I came back with my mum and husband, and once again, we had an amazing stay. Your team never fails to make us feel welcome, and that’s why I always choose your hotel whenever I travel to Yogyakarta.
I look forward to staying with you again in the future. Thank you for maintaining such high standards and making every visit memorable."

OOutsweety CookingLove to stay here, strategic location, good breakfast, quite clean, quite complete security, drinking water has refills. In the past there were snacks in front of the stairs, now there is no longer.. Security is not very secure and not helpful. If there is a car of guests coming, especially those who bring a lot of things, at least they are offered to help.. Good afternoon sir.. Good afternoon buk.. Thank you ... further improve the friendliness.
Over all is okay. Cukup recommended nginep disini.
BbillieanitaThe hotel is strategically located, our family is happy to stay here because it is close to dr. Yap's eye hospital. There are many good and delicious restaurants around the hotel. The atmosphere around the hotel is cool because there are many big trees. The staff are friendly. Anyway, if I go to Jogja, I will stay here again. Thank you Sagan Heritage Hotel.
GGuest UserLovely wide variety of breakfast items but would be better if those food are hot from early opening hours at 6am! Staff at Noodles/Soup, Eggs and Waffles stations at breakfast venue were excellent, always courteous and cheerful!
Would be good if able to remove mold stains in bathrooms.
SSafiraClean, spacious rooms, really worth it, strategic location, because yesterday the graduation was at GSP so it's very close, safe even if there's traffic so don't be late. The service is very friendly.
At that price, the rooms are spacious, can be extra bad too (additional price), the location is also close to everywhere
GGuest UserThe service is okay, the place is comfortable and clean, the mattress is soft, the bathroom is clean, there is warm water, the wifi tv is smooth. If you go to Jogja, come here again
IiphuriosThis is amazing hotel for its price.
First of all, the room is sufficiently big. The bed is comfy, and you got 4 pillows. Amenities are complete. You even got the premium glass water bottle. The room and hotel style is matching the Keraton style, so you got the Yogyakarta vibe upon staying , and this is very nice. The TV is loaded with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Disney+, and other local channels. Cabinet is surprisingly clean, despite its classic retro style looks.
The hotel is right downtown, so it is near to go amywhere. Next to it there is a cafe, so I can get coffee and cake with ease. Plenty food to select on gofood nearby the hotel. It has car park.
The hotel doesn’t have so many rooms, so it felt like very private, quiet, and comfortable.
The best part is their staffs’ warm welcome and high quality service level. When I book the hotel, I made a mistake regarding the date (I think the app automatically changed to next week if I am booking it next day or something). So I ended up book for the following week. The app said this hotel is non-refundable and cannot adjust the check in time. I contacted the hotel directly and they are EXTREMELY nice and very accommodating. Despite the rules of non changing from the platform, they bypass the system and allow me to change to the date I plan to visit. So far, I only encounter this level of flexibility and assistance only when I was staying in a high end 5-stars hotel. Therefore, big thumbs up for the hotel management! 👍👍👍
MM. Fawaizurthe hotel is good, the facilities and so on are very supportive with that budget. especially since the location is in the middle of the city
GGuest UserThe room is quite clean but not spacious. The air conditioner is okay cold.
Cm there is no bathroom inside yet, although the bathroom is outside but clean and near the room .. the owner is friendly .. there is no warm water in the shower but you can cook by yourself in the kitchen when you bring a small child ..
