The hotel is in a quaint little wooden alpine village in the Swiss Alps. There is a great restaurant and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, they really make the place! The rooms are clean and well presented and the restaurant food is decent.

They charge for tap water. This is a terrible policy and I’m sorry I can’t get past it. You can shower as long as you like. You have a lovely glass caraffe in your room and you can drink water to your heart’s content in your room. At breakfast the water is plentiful. But at dinner - you pay. Why don’t you charge 1 franc more for your cordon bleu instead? Or don’t give free bread? Or charge 1 chf more for the room. I don’t care. But to charge for tap water - this is a big insult to your customers. I have been to your hotel many times before and I have recommended it to many friends. But I’m sorry this is the end. You even went to the trouble to write a big spiel in your menu about why you charge for water. I paid you over 200 francs for my meal and my room. I just honestly can’t understand your logic. Kudos to the nice restaurant staff who tried to appease the situation. Your service was excellent and friendly. This review is intended solely for the management of this hotel and restaurant.

Disappointing stay and I regret it: minimal and let's say "timid" welcome, decent room, clean, normally comfortable bedding. The disappointment is in the restaurant, lack of professionalism: a little kindness is not enough. E.g.: menu badly scribbled on a flipchart, (it would be enough to write it properly, we don't need more), green salad on a very small, very flat plate, the vinaigrette served separately, impossible to season without it overflowing, etc., the bill placed without a word on the table after the main course without any offer of dessert or coffee, so we can understand "we've seen enough of you", and above all A GLASS OF TAP WATER charged 2 F once, the next day 3 F for a small pitcher of the same water, at this price it's better to have a glass of Fendant!

We wanted to play minigolf in Reckingen last weekend. Since the equipment had to be picked up from a hotel, we made our way to the Hotel Joopi. The hotel was open and there were guests in the dining room. We waited at the bar. Instead of serving us, we were looked at for a few minutes from the regulars' table and then completely ignored. I felt completely stupid - everyone was sitting at the regulars' table but no one had made an effort to serve the new guests. In the end, we left the Joopi without any minigolf equipment and found a very accommodating hotel in the same village with extremely friendly staff who were able to help us straight away. After this unwelcoming visit, we will never set foot in this hotel again. It's a shame that you scare away new guests like that...
