Hesperia Isla Margarita

We were choosing between Hesperia Isla Margarita and Ecoland. We chose the first one because my friend doesn't swim well. Pros: 1. The beach and the sea are great. 2. The hotel staff is wonderful. 3. The Venezuelans are great! 4. Food: the breakfasts are monotonous, the lunches and dinners were great every day, everything was delicious. 5. The rooms are spacious without balconies with panoramic windows. We had a room with a sea view, we admired the sunsets every day. We really enjoyed walking barefoot on the parquet floor. It is made of some valuable tree species. Those who have walked will understand). 6. I also wrote down the lack of animation as a plus. We had a friendly and cheerful company, we were never bored. The music played all day long, in the evenings we organized our own discos. 7. Due to the hotel not being fully occupied, there were no lines anywhere, all the tourists were like family. 8. The air conditioner broke down 2 days before departure. The problem was solved at the reception in 3 minutes by giving out the keys to a new room. The only downside for me was the very strong humidity. As if you were in a sauna all the time. In other countries of this region it was not so noticeable. Perhaps you should try to relax at a different time of year. And I wish Venezuela to quickly get out of the crisis and put the beautiful Hesperia in order

Built in 1989, this hotel provides direct access to a sandy, wave-free beach that is owned by the hotel. There is a bar on the beach, which can be reached by walking just 200 meters through the hotel grounds. The hotel is quite old, not up to 5 star standards, and all rooms lack balconies. The interior of the rooms is outdated and some parts of the hotel are in need of serious renovation. The rooms range from those that have been renovated to those that remain unchanged. Evening entertainment shows and spa services are available to guests. There is also daytime animation by the pool. The beach offers mussels and lobsters, which are cooked right in front of you. You will be provided with a table and chairs on the beach for your convenience. Wi-Fi is good on the beach, although the signal in the rooms can be spotty. Renovation of rooms began before the pandemic, but the process is currently suspended. Free billiards are available and golf courses are available. The hotel has a shop where you can buy rum from Komarov, chocolates and other small items. For children there is light animation and a small children's club. The hotel is surrounded by mountains, but outside of it there are practically no places where you can go, with the exception of organized excursions, they were taken from the guys when they watched a review of this hotel on the Venezuela PRO channel on YouTube. The tours with guides Anna and Andrey were great.

Spectacular attention. Everything is very clean and all the workers are outstanding. The bartenders are excellent too, especially Edith. Super recommended. I came in 2019, it was very good. Now in 2023 they have improved even more. And this is padding for the minimum of 200 characters.

We rested in this hotel from 05.10 to 12.10.23. We had a combi tour, the first 5 days were in Koch. I really enjoyed my holiday on Kocha, it’s very picturesque, green, the staff does their best, they constantly remove dry grass and garbage. ..Beautiful swimming pools. Isperia is advertised as a 5 star hotel. The building, the place, is beautiful, but it all requires good repairs, everything is in terrible condition, the humidity in the rooms is high, there is nowhere to dry. Food is repeated every day in the same sequence: shredded cabbage, some kind of salad, some kind of corn flour tortillas, chicken, meat (often impossible to chew), fish (often overcooked). Fruits include papaya, watermelon, a couple of times - pineapples, a couple of times - bananas. One kind of soup. For dessert, 2-3 types of some kind of pastry. The staff is friendly, friendly and responsive, they try their best. Often there was no shampoo available. The sea is colder, you had to walk on the water to take a dip. The sightseeing tour was taken individually from Elena.

I don't usually comment on my trips, but I feel the need to give this opinion so that it can be taken into account as a suggestion by the hotel. Just a year ago I visited the hotel with my family and we liked it very much. This year we decided to return, so I traveled again with my family in October, we had planned to stay 4 nights but it ended up being only 2 nights. A year ago when we visited we noticed that the air conditioning did not work in the lobby or in the restaurants but we thought that it had been damaged at that time and they would surely end up fixing it. When we arrived a year later, we noticed how hot it was in the Lobby, and we found out that the air had been damaged for 4 years... In the lobby it feels hot, but in the restaurant it is even worse. All people want to have outdoor tables for the same reason, if you don't get a table outside and you have to eat inside the restaurant, you will have a really bad time sweating all the time. The hotel has really beautiful rooms, very large and luxurious. With an incredible view. In fact they are better rooms than those at Ecoland (one reason we decided to return). But this year the air conditioning didn't work practically at all, we slept all night without covering ourselves and the heat was felt. We had 4 rooms and the same thing happened in all of them, so we realized that the air conditioning problem is something general throughout the hotel. They have 1 "disco"/"bar" or "games room" and I have never seen it operational, not last year or this year. They say they only enable it on Fridays and Saturdays. I think the hotel should have this place open every day, as the rate is the same any day of the week. Whether they have guests or not, this bar/game room must exist so that guests have some extra activity to do. Not just sitting in the lobby at night. Although for this it is highly important to activate the air conditioning in the area, otherwise it would be impossible to be there as well. Food: The food is good, but this year there was no variety at all, it is true that there were fewer guests but there really were almost no options to eat, last year they had more options and we traveled in the same season. (This and the air conditioning were the main reasons for leaving the hotel early) BEACH: The beach is beautiful, really lovely. I would say that it is the best beach on the island in terms of quiet beaches without waves. Ideal to go with children, the beach is a swimming pool. SUGGESTION: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BEACH YOU HAVE! It is incredible that with this beautiful beach they have, this hotel does not take the beach into account at all. They should know that many people stay at this hotel because of the beach it has, so they should make the most of this. Add kayaks, paddle boards, or pedal boats. Apart from that, always enable the beach restaurant. At least for snack. No sun
