Hotel Villa Margherita

We enjoyed our 2 night stay half board . The hotel was excellent just over the road from the marina and beach . We had half board and the dinners were amazing . Staff were very friendly , hotel was immaculate and the gardens & pool superb . Only 2 minor gripes air conditioning was noisy in room and wouldn’t adjust and breakfast food was adequate but nowhere near as good as the dinners .

Good location. Central near to restaurants and only 1 or 2 minutes walk from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Views over the bay are amazing. Pool area and gardens are beatiful, jacuzzi was great. Rooms are lovely, comfy bed great shower.

We made 3 attempts to get to Villa Margherita, twice our booking was cancelled due to the pandemic, third time lucky and it was worth the wait. From the booking process to departure nothing is too much trouble the team do their utmost to ensure you have a memorable time . We had an airport pick up arranged for us by the hotel very efficient, no waiting time at the airport and were greeted by smiles, water & sweets even at 10.30pm. Alfredo in the restaurant was very professional always made sure we had a nice table and the service was faultless, better than we experienced anywhere else on the island. 4 courses with 3 choices of each, the food was delicious we never normally chose to eat at a hotel restaurant but the food was too good not to. A lot of fish dishes which we loved. We chose a room with a whirl pool but would probably recommend a sea view on the higher levels as they have great harbour views. The garden and pool area is stunning drink service is available all day though a buzzer system, best Aperols in Sardinia. Drinks weren’t expensive by hotel standards, sunbeds were plentiful no problem getting a bed at 12pm, there are various walkable beaches with a couple of lovely beach bars worth the short walk. There’s a market on a Monday just outside the hotel area with some lovely dresses at great prices. Reception arranged a hire car at short notice it couldn’t have been any easier, car was delivered to the hotel when promised, no waiting around and when you’re done hand the keys in at reception and they do the rest, The reception staff are a joy ! Always a smile and chat about your day … my only gripe and it’s a small one is breakfast could be better. Limited hot food and a lot of pastries. Having said that I would highly recommend a visit the team are amazing, we will definitely return.

Had an amazing stay here. Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was gorgeous with lovely veranda and jacuzzi. We booked half board and the evening meals were amazing. Great choice every night and on one occasion they even cooked me something different when there was nothing I like. Drinks and wine were very reasonably priced. Great cocktails. The gardens are stunning as is the pool. Lots of sun beds available every day. Spotlessly clean everywhere. We would definitely stay again. One small criticism would be for all the breakfast items to be covered over as there were flies about. Most things were covered however.

We have just come back from staying at Hotel Margherita in Golfo Aranci, Sardinia. Having read all the reports of this hotel on Tripadvisor we wondered whether we would be disappointed - NOT THE CASE - We have had the most fantastic week. Marco welcomed us and escorted us up to our room 303, it was spotlessly clean and when he drew the curtains back WOW what a view. The gardens are immaculate with plenty of sunbeds and lots of shade under the trees. We had two meal in the hotel, which were excellent. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Gabriela helping booking trips and recommending other restaurants. We will certainly recommend this hotel and will be back.

We have just come to the end of of fabulous week at the Villa Margherita Hotel. We were travelling with our 8yr old. From start to finish, everything was excellent. We have been lucky to stay at many hotels around the world and this is one of the best we have ever stayed in. All the staff are wonderful and helpful. We booked a jacuzzi room which we thoroughly enjoyed. The room was a good size even with the extra bed for our daughter. There were nice touches like a children’s dressing gown and good size fridge in the room which is not always the case. Breakfast was pleasant with the usual continental spread plus some hot items. We had booked half board based on the reviews and very glad we did as the food was exceptional and it is extremely good value for money. Our daughter enjoyed every meal she tried from the children’s menu and we enjoyed the nightly changing 4 course menu. There are 3 options for each course which means there is something for everyone and we really appreciated this as not seafood eaters. The pasta courses were incredible. We enjoyed a bottle of local wine with our meal each night - again, great value. Within walking distance of the hotel there are many very nice restaurants and ice cream parlours. We particularly enjoyed lunch at Lo Scorfano Allegro and Il Fare Porto. The pool is a good size and very refreshing in the August heat. It is certainly not cold as some reviews have suggested but we were there in height of summer. There was never once an issue getting a sunbed - no silly towels out at dawn etc. The hotel is very well located and only a short walk from the beach (walk a bit further to Terza Spiaggia Fare beach near Blu restaurant for a truly wonderful white sand beach in walking distance). The hotel is in the centre of town and every night in August it is absolutely alive with activity and entertainment: we saw a parade, DJ, a group of local Sardinian singers and a carnival. We loved it! There is also a small nightly funfair for children which was good fun. We had a wonderful holiday and would come back again in a heartbeat.
