Hôtel Sarakawa

2 nights in December. Large hotel with long corridors but elevator makes it accessible inside and ramps outside. Large grounds and large swimming pool for all types of swimmers. Breakfast in SikaSika area has self service and plenty of choice of hot or cold food. TV netflix a treat as not in many other hotels visited in Togo or Benin. Spacious room, ac and clean. Wifi in room a bit patchy but better in reception. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful garden and pool with plenty of places to seat to chill or work with colleagues.rooms clean with all expected amenities. Reasonably priced. The staff is not super friendly. Service can be slow too. Just to note, tense staff is usually a result of the management style...food for thoughts.

Disappointing first impression and very poor service by some of the employees. What put me off was to be told to wait for over hour just for checking into the room. The staff in charge was more interested in showing off his superiority rather than serve his customers. If it only happened to me, I would have understood it as a one off. However, I heard several; other customers complaining of the same ill treatment. Then the service is the restaurants, was equally poor. Very unenthusiastic waiters. Maybe it's the customer service culture. The hotel is an old jewel but could do with some faceup. Internet is intermittent.  

This is a large modern hotel. Rooms were well equipped, comfy bed, large bathroom and good a/c and wifi. The grounds are extensive and patrolled but walking to the beach from the walled compound isn't recommended. There is an Olympic sized swimming pool and sun loungers around the grounds. Food was fine.

This hotel was once luxurious but now I have regretted booking this via ***********. at my arrival they refused to let my guess into my room stating that it was booked for 1 adult only. I have to come down to the main reception to make a complain and show a proof of my booking before they apologised. The room was smelling so badly that I have to spray my own perfume but this did not help. Fortunately the hotel manager was In the same lift when I was stating that I will never return and will write a review and she apologies and offered a better looking a smell room. In the morning they only served breakfast at my partner and refused to give me a simple cup of coffee even though I had no breakfast. They said that I must pay for the coffee. At that point I became so fume that I threw the money and asked them to keep it and left without the cup of coffee. Few minutes later they started phoning the room to speak to me and I declined the call. Later on one of the staff called in to speak to me. After several attempts I accepted and she began to apologies that they made a mistake because they thought that the room was for 1 adult only. They returned the money and offered me to now get the breakfast and I declined. I finally took my money but certainly did not want any of their coffee or even water anymore. I was so so disappointed 😞 and will never ever stay at this hotel again. I will certainly never recommend it to any of my relatives or friends. The romantic time that we were supposed to have together turned into a nightmare. It is very sad so sad I will never forget that horrible experience😡😡.

I would tell it is far better than other hotels I stayed in Togo and benin. The room was spacious and the food Ok. However, the service is so slow! we spent more than 2 hours waiting for our food to come! I finally gave up. I had a safe but it was not connected to the wall!!The service at the information desc is also so slow
