We stayed here for our 51st wedding anniversary in a large top floor suite overlooking the garden and the moors. All the staff were friendly and helpful but we felt that Malcom really went the extra mile and stood out as a lovely man who excelled in his work and was a credit to the hotel

It was lovely to see after new management/owners , that the team who had stayed , especially , Joe and Gav made our stay as special as always, we are very spoilt by them . They made our stay very special , the staff are so nice. it is such a nice hotel , lovely welcoming fire and lots of sheep and on a clear night the stars are magical. We have been going many years . great for walkers .

Overnight Stay@Mallayan We have been coming here for years and it never fails even with it changing owners - Staff are truly Top Class Excellent customer service friendly and go the extra mile - nothing is a problem. Food was of a High Standard - Quality Food Presentation and Portions Spot On … Changed Rooms this time and no faults high standard of cleanliness … as always We must make a compliment to All the staff and especially Ash she has a fab personality and excellent with the customers and top class service a credit to the Hotel … Big Big Thank you to you all we will see you all again in November …!!

We have stayed here numerous times over the years and will continue to do so. The staff are so friendly welcoming staff, can't do enough for you. It's a lovely relaxed atmosphere, cosy bar and bright dining room. Delicious food & comfortable, clean bedrooms. Perfect for a relaxing little break away.

Stayed at the Mallyan for first time and don’t think it will be the last, chose to dine in the lounge area , fire was on with a restaurant style setting, music playing in the background was soothing, offered both restaurant menu as well as the bar …plenty of selection ..the service was top notch .. special mention to Jody & Georgia pulled out all the stops

The hotel is under new management and they have made some refurbishments. The lounge areas have comfortable seating arrangements which are a big improvement since we last stayed. The Restaurant is bright and comfortable. Our room number 11 has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The bathroom contains a fantastic shower and large bath, quality fittings. The seating areas are comfortable with amazing views. The large comfortable bed led to a great nights sleep. The room is amazing and gave us a perfect relaxing stay. The dining experience for both breakfast and dinner was perfect, great menu options. The food cooked to perfection using quality ingredients. From arriving to leaving all of the staff have been welcoming and attentive. Special thanks to Jodie and Georgia for looking after us in the evening. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday, the flapjacks left in the room and the complimentary drink on the first evening were greatly appreciated, thank you. We have had a wonderful stay and looking forward to making a return visit soon. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.

Had a lovely stay at the Mallyan over new year. The beds were really comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. I was served by lovely staff Jodie, Claire,Sarah, Laura, Maddie and Grace throughout my stay. Would 100% recommend staying at this beautiful countryside hotel

Pillows are the fluffiest ever beds sooooo comfy ... food could be better but the service we had off the manager called jodie was immense .. such a friendly young woman and so helpful we had a problem.with our steak and she got it changed with no bother and then gave us a sticky toffe pudding for free for the inconvenience... when we got up for breakfast we were welcomed by a friendly smile that was only jodie does she ever sleep, made sure our stay was brilliant and wiill definitely be returning if only to get the service jodie provided
