This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this hotel, so obviously we like it. Both times we had a " St Peter "room which is a decent size with a sitting area as well as the bed. The bathroom is great with a large walk-in shower. We stayed 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night----very good with local seasonal dishes. All the staff are extremely nice and helpful . If you want to go a bit further into town, there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from. The small town of Glottertal is quite nice, but the best thing about it is that it is conveniently located for walking or trips out to other places. Friberg is only a short drive away, and there is probably public transport to get there, although I didn't check that out. Overall, a very nice place from which to tour this part of the Black Forest, and I've no doubt this is where we will stay the next time we visit this area.

Vriendelijk familie hotel met gastvrijheid hoog in vaandel. Als alleenstaande kreeg ik een prachtige kamer met zitje en balkon terras. Uitkijkend op het bos. Alles netjes en schoon, tas vol handdoeken ook voor de sauna en zwembad binnen. Culinaire gerechten, niet goedkoop maar heerlijk en mooie porties. Het ontbijt rijk en koffie en thee aan tafel geserveerd. Zwembad heerlijk en daarbij stoombad, verdieping hoger was sauna met ligbedden en schommelstoelen. Al met al heerlijk om een paar dagen te zijn. Als gast wordt je daar echt gezien.

Wer fährt eigentlich noch ins Glottertal? Sind es wirklich nur die Leute, die sich noch an die Fernsehserie Schwarzwaldklinik erinnern? Die Gastronomie scheint jedenfalls für diese Altersklasse zu sein. So auch im Landidyll zum Kreuz. Die Speisekarte entsagt jeder Modernität, Masse geht vor Klasse (dutzende Gerichte - wie sollen die alle frisch und aktuell sein?) und das Ergebnis auf den Tellern ist zwar reichlich, aber auch reichlich traurig. Mein Fischgericht (Filet in einem Biomehl gewendet) kam in einer Art Seniorenheim-Schale und schmeckte nach nichts. Ähnlich ging es meiner Begleitung mit ihrem Salat, der äußerst lieblos au den Tisch kam. Hier fehlt es einfach am Können in der Küche. Dafür werden aber Preise aufgerufen, die in einer Stadt nicht ansatzweise durchsetzbar wären. Der Service war routiniert, aber nicht übermäßig freundlich.

Wir waren schon öfters Gast im Restaurant. Mit Freunden oder Verwandschaft, es war immer ein wunderschöner Abend. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, geduldigt auch beim Sonderwünsche. Das Essen war jedesmal hervorragend, ob Fisch, Fleisch oder ein Salatteller, es hat immer und jedem gemundet. Der Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Kein Problem mit Parkplatz ein wunderschöner Außenbereich und auch die Gaststube ist hervorragend. Übernachtet haben wir auch schon, da wir vom Bodensee kommen. Immer wieder gerne.
