We had a great stay at hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. Of course it’s amazing to stay in an iconic hotel that has existed for 130 years, and it’s charm and decor do not disappoint. The renovated rooms have maintained their charm, while having a little style update. The staff is amazing – very helpful and willing to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one. In the summer, do not miss dining on the patio.

Very cool historic hotel! The lobby was beautiful and always had fireplaces lit with jazz music playing. The rooms had recently been renovated but still kept the ambiance of the old hotel. Everything was always very clean throughout the hotel. Every room had a view of the mountains surrounding the town. The old downtown area was also just across the river and was easily walkable by a pedestrian bridge. We had an excellent, relaxing stay.

I want to love the property, really I do. I think it’s a bit “tired” primarily in the public areas. The rooms have no climate control to speak of other than a window and ceiling fan. Our room was so hot that we had trouble sleeping, and if we opened the window, the sound of big-rigs using their Jake-brakes on the very nearby I-70 made things worse. The restaurant on-site was OK. The bar was nice, very loud though. We probably will look for something quieter next time. Great location for restaurants and the hot springs though.
