Environment: Copper River is quite remote, with little to do. As a stopover, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a large hotel in such a remote location. There are large lounge areas in the lobby and on the second floor. Service: This is likely a Princess Cruises hotel, catering primarily to cruise passengers. The service is standard, but not bad. Facilities: The hotel is dated. There's no refrigerator or microwave, not even one in the common areas. There's no hot water for hot drinks or tea in the common areas; there's only a coffee machine in the room. This definitely deserves a negative review. There are no shops nearby. The gift shop in the lobby is good; the prices are reasonable. For example, an Alaska commemorative ceramic mug is $6.95, significantly cheaper than other places, and no other gift shop offers as good a value as this one. The lobby dining options are limited, so preparing food in advance is crucial. The room rate for the day was around $200 (without breakfast), the cheapest on this trip (compared to other hotels).

Nice clean property, enjoyed the service at the bar with the option of either dinner option. The coffee cups for breakfast should be larger or refilled more frequently.

Nice hotel and grounds, disappointing food Our stay was nice as far as facilities and grounds are concerned. The food was really disappointing. One of us had the salmon dinner and the rice side was over cooked and tasteless while the salmon portion was quite small for the price charged. One of us had the cheese burger dinner which should have been easy to do. However, the bread was dry and they only put a small spot of dressing on the bread.

Knowing now that this property is owned by Princess cruises, and caters to cruise passengers first, I would never stay here again. I requested a king bed, but they would not accommodate me even though I made our reservation months ago. The one shining star was the little gal working the gift shop. She was very sweet!

Didn’t get to stay. Reservations were made in April 2024 for two night. A week before the reservation they canceled it. A few days before the second night was canceled for a bus tour, hope the people enjoyed our room!!!!
