Stayed on 19th September. Staff are friendly and professional. The food was exceptionally delicious and plenty of it. There are lots of photos of previous guests from bygone era’s depicting the history of the hotel. We would highly recommend a stay at Eccles and we are looking forward to our next in November.

We went to the Eccles for a night in December… it was the most enjoyable stay! We used the spa facilities including hot tub and we also had a facial/massage… it was magic! Aoife and her staff are so nice and friendly and really accommodating! We both felt great after it. We had dinner that evening in the dining room… the service was excellent and the staff are friendly, welcoming and very personable! The food was delicious and filling. The bedrooms are really comfortable and have everything you need for an overnight stay. The breakfast consists of a continental buffet and then a hot breakfast can be ordered from the kitchen… it did not disappoint! We left wishing we could book in for another night… we would recommend the Eccles for its setting, staff, spa and food!

This hotel was so comfortable and welcoming. Reading some of the reviews of this page, I had to check if it was the same hotel. Everything was good, Bar food excellent as was the food in the dining room. Room had WiFi, good shower and full length mirror. Lighting in Bathroom was excellent. All the staff were welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Eccles Hotel recently. Receptionist was very abrupt and rude no welcome or greeting, it was uncomfortable dealing with her. She said we were given an upgrade but it was clear that Hotel was really quiet and all guests were on 3rd floor,I had chosen a forest view room which looked fabulous on the site but room we got was really basic, windows were really old and shook when road traffic was busy , a piece was wood was there to keep windows open....seriously! Dinner was very poor, we ordered featherblade for main, it was overcooked and tasteless, we were really disappointed. We chose then not to have breakfast and ate at local cafe. A very disappointing experience and not all worth what we paid for the 2 night stay.

Everything was excellent from assfrom car to check-in, to the room, the food, the facilities, the staff , the ambience , the menu each evening was superb with a great selection of superbly cooked food. The location of the hotel is fantastic with our Seaview room perfect for us

This hotel oozes old world charm with open fires in the hallway and helpful friendly staff. We went for a birthday celebration on a 2 night 2 dinner package deal, which was great value. We got a lovely room with a view over the bay and binoculars to see the supermoon! The food was outstanding with an emphasis on fresh local ingredients and lots of veggie options. We both really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and had a lovely morning in the spa, with excellent treatments. We'll be back!

Excelllent breakfast and the breakfast staff were extremely helpful! All the porters and receptionists were very polite and welcoming. Gorgeous views and beautiful hotel. Attended for a wedding and it was a lovely stay - highly recommend.

A great location BUT For £250 per night No Wi-Fi in the room and nothing done despite 2 requests Cooked breakfast poor, bacon dry sausages poor quality unlike the GLENDINE country house in Arthurstown which is a full Irish to die for.and they forgot my breakfast on the last day. Dinner was poor. The steak on both occasions was very over cooked and the plate piled high with salad and crispy onion which was very off putting The bar manager of 25 years was excellent
