Residence Inn Milwaukee North/Glendale

I booked a one-bedroom suite and a studio from June 28 to July 6 (one for my two sons and one for myself), both non-smoking. When we arrived, the hotel didn’t give me what I booked. Instead, my Marriott Bonvoy app suddenly showed only a studio, and no one bothered to tell me in advance. It was a clear attempt to cover up the fact that they failed to give us the one-bedroom suite I paid for. When I asked about it, the staff tried to tell me that a one-bedroom suite was “the same as a studio” and claimed there were no one-bedroom suites available. It was insulting, as if they thought I was too stupid to know the difference between a studio and a one-bedroom suite. After arguing, the employee promised I could move to a one-bedroom suite on June 30. I emailed the hotel, and no one responded. On June 30, I went to the front desk four separate times to ask about the suite. They lied to me three times that day, telling me I would get a one-bedroom suite. Finally, around 4 PM, they admitted there was never a one-bedroom suite available for me that day at all. Their deceptive behavior and sneaky action of quietly changing my reservation record without my consent are unacceptable. It is clear that they are trying to hide their failure to honor my booking, while continuing to stall and lie to me. Up to now, this issue still has not been resolved.

Very iffy at this point. This is a reincarnation of a previous version in a nearby location that got so run down by poor management and service that it closed. This newer version was much better when it opened, but is now going downhill. Pluses: good value I guess, good location if you need to be north of the city, good sized clean rooms, laundry, fair fitness center. I seem to recall a clock in the room (extra credit points for this - getting sadly rare elsewhere which is terrible). Stone Creek Coffee is across the street - a great place for coffee and snacks like scones and muffins. The service staff is generally good but sometimes spotty. Elevators, a/c for the summer. Minuses: the free breakfasts have significantly degraded since they opened some years ago. Almost not worth it at all (even if free). The only compensating factor is that the rooms have kitchenettes and there is a grocery store nearby. Breakfast isn't that expensive to serve - if they could just not get the cheapest and minimal items and show some care, that would be helpful.

Upon check in you must pay a $50.00 daily incidental fee in addition to your stay. What hotel does this??? None in addition the rooms are outdated, coffee is not a Keurig in room. Old and non operational. Plus, management is terrible. Do Not Stay at this hotel.

For us, great location and it's easy access to highway. Rooms are standard Residence Inn. However, the breakfast is pretty substandard. When this location first opened a few years ago* it was fine. Now, they took away yogurt, no wheat toast (or any toast), the coffee is getting progressively weaker. Good thing the rooms have a fridge and cooktop and microwave and there's grocery store in walking distance. Other issues: asked for extra pillows, which came without pillowcases! And there was only 1 roll of TP in the bathroom. The shower drained very slowly. So, rooms are ok coz the facility is new but management and maintenance feel cheap, even if friendly. Good price though.

Staff was friendly, but rooms need to be renovated. My room was spacious but smelled like the carpet needed cleaning. The furniture was not new. Parking was easy and a few fast food spots were not too far away. Breakfast was standard. Service team was fast to respond to repair requests.

My recent stay at the Marriott Residence Inn was unfortunately far from satisfactory. Several areas of the property were not well-maintained, and my concerns were largely overlooked. First, the state of the pool was appalling. The water was a murky, dark gray color, making it impossible to see beyond a few steps into the pool. This was not just a cosmetic issue; it posed a serious health risk. I raised my concerns with the front desk, who acknowledged the issue but disappointingly took no action to close the pool or address the water quality. To my disbelief, I saw guests swimming in it the next morning. It's deeply concerning that such a blatant disregard for hygiene and guest safety was allowed to continue. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room bathroom left much to be desired. The bathroom had noticeable black mold growing in the shower and along the tiles. It was evident that thorough cleaning and maintenance were lacking in this area. Furthermore, the amenities fell short of expectations. We booked a room with a sofa sleeper for my children, but there were not enough pillows and blankets provided. After requesting additional bedding from the front desk, we were met with uncertainty and eventually received them, albeit with a pillow missing its case. Moreover, the sofa sleeper mattress was uncomfortable, with springs poking through, making it impossible for my kids to get a decent night's sleep. Overall, this stay was incredibly disappointing. My children were looking forward to using the pool, which unfortunately was not an option due to its unsanitary and unsafe conditions. Despite reaching out to Marriott Corporate for assistance, the local management failed to follow up as promised. To add to the frustration, the compensation offered was only partial (I paid with points, and they only reimbursed me half) which reflects poorly on Marriott's commitment to quality and customer support. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this Marriott Residence Inn based on my experience. The issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service are significant and need immediate attention. As a loyal Marriott member, I hope that these concerns are addressed promptly to restore trust and uphold the standards expected of the Marriott brand.
