Just had a fabulous stay at The Acorn Hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the beds were extremely comfortable and the location is really great. But the absolute highlight was the service- Kevin at reception is an absolute legend! With a smile that lights up your day and with insider knowledge of what to do and where to go while visiting Glasgow, garnered from his years of experience in hospitality he made our trip! Thank you Kevin and looking forward to coming back again soon

Travelled solo to Glasgow this winter for three nights and found this hotel to be in an excellent location; only a short walk away from grocery shops, the train station, and the city center. The room felt very safe, and was clean and looked after. A big thank you to Alan and Kevin at reception for their friendliness and excellent service through my stay ! Would return here for future visits and would definitely recommend for solo travellers

This hotel is amazing value for money. I love the location: it's right next to Kelvingrove Park and is peaceful. The view from my single room was beautiful. I could also walk to the city centre in 20 minutes. The staff are great. They're friendly and extremely helpful.

Lovely, small compact hotel, ideal for a short break In a lovely quiet location but also near to restaurants and cafes Staff friendly and helpful. Service and amenities was good, we went in the winter and it was super cosy and warm Good value for money and I would recommend it to fellow travellers

Absolutely loved it here. The location was perfect with walking distance into the main area. Beautiful part of the city. I met you man on reception a few time, not sure of his name, might have been Kevin, an absolute asset to the hotel. So so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and he was just brilliant. Also very well presented and polite. The hotel is immaculate and if you just need a base without all the expense of paying for a fancy bar and faff this is absolutely perfect. I had a nightmare of a journey to get to Glasgow and the kindness of the staff member i met went a long way to making a crap day a better day. Will definately be coming back

Comfortable and clean room. Everything worked as it should and there were nice touches such as well-stocked hot drinks options and liquid soap, etc. Some noise from other residents passing-by the door, but it was quiet at night. My only disappointments were arriving late (9.30pm) and finding local eateries are thin on the ground, and finding I was too late to opt-in for breakfast. Some warning on this when I booked would have been appreciated.

This is a lovely small quiet hotel. It is very reasonably priced and the staff really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and helped me with ongoing travel. Room was very clean and I had everything I needed. It is in easy walking distance to town and there are plenty of buses nearby. There's a wee cafe and a restaurant nextdoor. Breakfast at the hotel is super.

Excellent. I stayed one night in January 2025, arriving on Friday afternoon and left Saturday morning. Despite the fact the weather was bitterly cold - with ice on the pavements, the hotel was warm and welcoming. My partner and I appreciated the comfortable night.
