Angelo and Marisa were wonderful hosts. The Masseria was spotlessly clean. Our room was of a generous size with full en-suite facilities .A hairdryer was provided, along with a small fridge for use during our stay. The pool area with sun loungers, was pristine, and one has a lovely view over the countryside. Breakfasts were good with fruit, bread, pastries, yoghurt and eggs. Every other day, Marisa baked the most wonderful cakes. The white peach cake was absolutely delicious. The location was good too,.The gorgeous beach at Castellaneta was a short drive away, as was the town of Gio del Colle and Bari. If you are planning on dining out on a evening then Bari is the closest place for the widest selection of restaurants. However evening meals are served on request at the Masseria. ( Ask Angelo at breakfast time.) We didn’t dine in as we were out and about, but I feel certain that dinner in the Masseria would be truly authentic tasty and delicious. Here are the wonderful places we visited during our stay, some are a bit of a drive, but so worth it. Trapani, Taranto, Matera, Alberobello, Parco Archeologico di Egnazia and museum.( Be sure to visit the basement exhibition in the museum) The beach at Castellaneta, and the seaside town of Poligano a mare, and finally Brindisi. I would definitely recommend a stay at Masseria Ciavea.

Fantastic place. Warm friendly family runs and lives on premise. Great. Traditional food experience right on the spot. Clean and modern farm with a traditional atmosphere preserved. Worth coming to Puglia and pls experience this place. You won't be disappointed.

Une masseria typique de la Pouille, refaite avec goût tout en consevant le charme de la pierre d'origine. L'accueil et la prévenance de Marisa et Angelo. Un voyage gastronomique dans la cuisine traditionnelle locale. Un point de départ centrale pour de merveilleuses visites.

Dopo il cammino del Salento cercavamo un luogo dove riposarci un po ',abbiamo trovato questa stupenda masseria e la scelta è stata azzeccatissima!!! È situata in posizione tranquilla e centrale per visitare Bari, Matera, Altamura, Gravina in Puglia etc... I proprietari sono gentilissimi e sempre disponibili e presenti, le camere sono grandi e molto curate, la colazione è genuina. Angelo è un ottimo cicerone come il piccolo Nino e Marisa è una cuoca favolosa e a cena prepara deliziosi piatti della tradizione locale. Un grazie di cuore a tutti!

Abbiamo soggiornato per la 3^ volta alla Masseria Ciavea e anche quest'anno ci siamo trovati benissimo. I proprietari, Angelo e Marisa sono persone davvero "speciali", molto gentili e competenti nel loro lavoro. Le camere sono molto pulite e curate al dettaglio. Colazione abbondante, variegata e ricca di prodotti tipici del luogo, con torte ogni giorno diverse preparate a mano da Marisa, davvero deliziose. La cena e' abbondante e molto gustosa, caratterizzata da prodotti freschi a km 0, con pasta fresca preparata a mano. Quest'anno la novità è stata la piscina, un vero valore aggiunto da 10 e lode. Per ultimo, non per importanza, abbiamo Nino, il figlio più piccolo dei proprietari, fonte inesauribile di simpatia e di intrattenimento. Con questa recensione voglio ringraziare pubblicamente Angelo, Marisa e Nino perché ci hanno coccolato e fatto sentire come "a casa". Consiglio vivamente la Masseria Ciavea.

Personale davvero gentilissimo, con una bellissima piscina in cui ti puoi divertire. La camera stupenda piena di storia e cultura. Cucina ricca di prodotti tipici e genuini. Luogo adatto a chi cerca pace e tranquillità.

Siamo stati in questa masseria per le vacanze di Pasqua. Punto strategico per visitare le più famose località della zona da Polignano a Matera, da Alberobello a Ostuni. La struttura è caratteristica con camere spaziose, accoglienti e pulite. La cucina di Marisa ottima con piatti tipici. Un grazie particolare ad Angelo e uno speciale a Nino che, durante le serate, con la loro compagnia ci hanno fatto sentire come in famiglia. Consigliatissimo!!! Giorgio Massimo Loretta Rita

Masseria exceptionnelle à tous points de vue : - Le lieu et le calme aux alentours - Les propriétaires. Famille adorable, disponible et très gentil et serviable. - Chambre bien structurée, très propre et hyper calme - Petit-déjeuner et repas préparés et cuisinés par les propriétaires Marisa et Angelo. Cuisine traditionnelle et typique de cette région de la Puglia. Cuisine excellente. En résumé je conseille les yeux fermés cette Masseria. Allez y et vous ne serez pas déçu. Diego et Anne Masseria eccezionale sotto tutti i punti di vista: - Il posto e la calma intorno - I proprietari. Famiglia adorabile, disponibile e molto gentile. - Camera ben strutturata, molto pulita e super silenziosa - Colazione e pasti preparati e cucinati dai proprietari Marisa e Angelo. Arrivati con buone aspettative viste le recensioni, ma la realtà è stata ben diversa! Menù da 40€ a persona, soldi buttati al vento.. piatti miseri e insipidi. Mi dispiace che abbia coinvolto tutta la famiglia per questa giornata, siamo andati via delusi e affamati.
