Wow! What a place to stay! Belukar Villas on the Indonesian tropical island of Gili Trawangan off Lombok is the perfect place in which to unwind and enjoy the comforts of high quality accommodation at very reasonable prices. This property is nestled in the midst of a coconut plantation, five minutes’ walk to one of the many sandy beaches and far enough from the entertainment side of this party island. The ‘Belukar’ comprises beautifully appointed spacious rooms that frame a large swimming pool and a set of sumptuous villas with private pools. You feel the warmth of the place the minute you check in because you will not find too many better staff anywhere: local people who are friendly and helpful not because it is their job to do so but because they are so inclined and would like nothing more than see a smile on your face. The ‘Belukar’ is a hidden gem and becoming an icon of the island’s accommodation scene. Most importantly, it comes at a fraction of the cost of similar properties in Europe, America or Australia. My wife and I spent 12 memorable days at the place and did not want to leave. We'll be back. We would have no qualms about recommending it very highly.

The most amazing jewel was found in the heart of Gili T - accommodation at Belukar was perfect (and I’m not easy to please). Pool facing spacious accommodation thoughtfully designed to offer maximum comfort, privacy and functionality. Well decorated with toiletries and spotlessly clean towels/bedding (very comfortable beds). Rooms serviced every morning. Gorgeous pool is well maintained and an absolute delight to swim in at anytime of the day or night. Dining area perfectly placed, and a separate chill-out area to relax in nearby is discreetly screened with plants. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful - they can offer lots of helpful advice/signposting. Food was first class, freshly cooked and available from early till late - service always with a smile. No cars on the island and so it’s a pony & trap ride to start/end your stay but bicycles get you around the island if you don’t want to walk everywhere. Bicycles are always available on site at a very small cost. Without hesitation I’d recommend Belukar to anyone visiting Gili T; they have everything you’ll need and are very reasonably priced for the fantastic accommodation and service provided.

Beautiful place away from the noise and touristy vibe of the harbor. Really close to turtle point and shark point (nice waves for surfing and amazing coral for snorkeling and kayaking). Staff is very kind, always smiling and ready to assist with whatever you need. Bicycle rental came in super handy and was convenient to have access to.

This hotel is BEAUTIFUL! We had the best time, the outside pool area is so peaceful, everything is so clean, the staff are so friendly and we had lovely recommendations when we arrived from Alissa. It was like staying in paradise! The only thing is it is around a 35 minute walk with suitcases from the main port, but then it is a lovely peaceful place and it was our choice to walk to the hotel! Bikes available to rent at a good price, all in a very pleasant experience! :)

Super nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful stay at this place but I wouldn’t recommend Gili Trawangan. It’s way too crowded, very dirty and extremely over exploited (at the same time extremely beautiful with some gems).

A beautiful hotel tucked away on the north of the island away from the port area. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was unique in that it was open air and the breakfast was delicious. We had a problem with the air conditioning when we first arrived and it was fixed quickly within a few hours and our room was lovely and cold throughout our stay. The salt water pool was warm which took some getting used to, but was beautifully maintained and had lovely flowers and trees planted around. All the staff were lovely too, chatty, informative with excellent recommendations for restaurants, dive schools etc. My only criticism would be the location. The hotel is a good 25 minute walk to the busy ***** and if you don’t want to use the horse and cart (we didn’t, but that was our personal preference) or hire bikes, it was a hot, sweaty, dusty slog to get to the main area and back.

This place is just amazing, so beautiful and tranquil. The villas are incredible with gorgeous, rustic decor and massive! Very well air conditioned with a waterfall shower that feels like you’re in a spa :) the breakfast was freshly cooked to order every morning and we tried everything and it was all delicious. The pool is the absolute Jewell in the crown however, it honestly deserves 5 stars on its own, always spotless and a beautiful temperature. The staff are all amazing with nothing too much trouble. I will defo stay here again next time I’m in Gili T ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
