Rehman Backpackers

John, Siti and I arrived at Rehman bagpackers on April 2nd 2023. I have been in touch with him for a few years but the pandemic did not make my trip possible. He was warm and welcoming. His son, who i thought was his brother, was very sweet. His story on how he came to be is very inspiring. He invited us to go for lunch to his place up in the village or have it delivered to the lodge. It would have been the biggest mistake in Pakistan i would have made if i had said, as i was abit tired and lazy, to deliver the food to the hostel.... His house/homestay, is BEAUTIFUL. His wife Sitara and kids so warm and loving. English fantastic. And the experience was so authentic and genuine, unlike any i have experienced in pakistan. I regret staying two nights only, I should have stayed 4 and i I will be back NEXT year AGAIN :) The walk to Passu White glaciers with them was wow....

We stayed for 12 nights at Rehmans Backpackers and loved every minute. His father, Khan Bag, who runs the hostel is deloghtful, offers a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Located just off the KKH outside of Ghulkin it is a perfect hub for independent day hikes. Rehman can also arrange the Patundas 2-3 day trek, he is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. He and his family also have a homestay in Ghulkin village, a charming bucolic village, that is thoroughly recommended by all who have stayed. You won't regret a stay at Rehmans Backpackers.
