Fabulous 50s motel on the outskirts of town. Loved that the owner has kept some of the original features (brick details, roofline, bathroom tiles) while updating the rooms. Spotlessly clean, really comfy bed, good shower. Table & chairs outside to have a cuppa. OK Chinese in the sports club next door. Across the road from the Coo-ee museum which is free & worth a look. Easy walk into the main part of town along the river windmill walk where there's lots of heritage buildings to admire.

This was our second stay in a month and unfortunately not as good as the first stay . The bed was only double sized and way past its use by date. We could feel the springs in the mattress not at all comfortable. The towels were clean but discoloured in need of bleaching. This time our room fronted the road and was very noisy from passing trucks . There was masking tape all over the door handle and entrance. The room was clean and stocked with crockery and cutlery.
