Hubby and i stayed for a week while visiting my family.I cant fault anything in this hotel. Rooms are super clean, bit of a perfect mix between old fashion and modern. All the staff is great, very professional. Breakfast was excellent. There is no coffee shop or bar, but lots of options in the center of Gijón, so thats not a problem. We will be coming back.

This was my third visit to Gijon, and it won't be my last. A short 1 3/4 hour flight from Gatwick with Vueling, and a 1/2 hour taxi ride from OVD (Asturias) Airport and I was in town. The hotel reception staff were attentive from check-in to check-out, even helping out with a minor injury! The hotel room was spotless, with plenty of storage space, writing desk and a comfy bed. The ensuite was A1, with excellent shower and other accessories including a hairdryer and even a bidet (unused...!). The continental breakfast was fine and as expected, delicious coffee!! Gijon is not a large town but offers plenty. The expansive San Lorenso beach front with a huge promenade, makes an ideal surf beach which isn't ideal for small children, but behind the bay is another beach, near the marina, which is ideal for younger families. The restaurants, oh the restaurants... I ate two large meals a day and never at the same restaurant twice, all very reasonably priced one clear recommendation is the Fabada, a basic meal comprising of beans, with chorizo and pork (or clam), with flavours you'll never have enjoyed before! I recommend this hotel to everyone. Fun service, cleanliness, good breakfast, location near the promenade, bus station and the city centre. Thanks especially to the staff at the reception. We were stayed earlier than planned. Before the departure, breakfast was served at 6 a.m. I would like to mention a competent marketing and flexible price policy. We were very satisfied.

Un hotel muy justito para 4 estrellas, el desayuno es muy poco variado oara esa categoría, las habitaciones muy espartanas, demasiado minimalista, sin amenities y personal profesional pero poco afable en general. Los colchones cómodos, buena limpieza en baños y habitación, con gimnasio, restaurante y parking pero la ubicación es mala. Y las tarifas, bastante altas para lo que ofrece, al menos en agosto. Considero que la relación calidad-precio se puede mejorar.

Hotel is very good, but I would not recommend the restaurant. Starter was excellent (3 langoustinas with carpaccio of viera). Then I had kind of steak, my husband had fabada asturiana. Both were not good, so we returned it after eating just a bit. We did not have to pay for this, which is OK, but like this it is not nice to go a restaurant.

We had Ants in our room and they got into our luggage. We stayed there for 5 nights and housekeeping was so poor they didn’t even notice. We complained about it on the last day and were informed the GM would message us with explanation and apology but 4 days later no message. Breakfast service is unacceptable. Servers were rude and on two days they claimed to be out of boiled eggs!!! The most basic item on any breakfast menu. Rooms were nice but water pressure was terrible. Highlights were Carla and Sandra on the front desk. They were very helpful and friendly. Do not recommend this property. It’s also completely out of town and if you don’t have a car, be prepared to walk a minimum of 20mins to get into town.

Hotel location is very good, price economy, very close to the yacht port, 10 minutes walk to reach.
