Tweeddale Arms Hotel

On check in, the carpets had dirty spots and the sink was not cleaned properly. On the second day, after housekeeping has 'cleaned' the room, the bed was messily made up, the sink remained not cleaned properly and no fresh towels were offered. Also, on reservation, the picture on the app showed a double bed. However, upon check in, my room was just a single bed, which was not as comfortable as a double bed. This is misrepresentation. I booked the room for the price because I thought it was a double bed, not a small single bed. Also the receptionist at check in was completely unhelpful and told me that my room was the single bed room. Finally, breakfast was a let down. For the price paid, I thought a hot breakfast would be served. All that was available was a cold continental breakfast. Cereal, yoghurt and toast. Completely pathetic. I recommend staying at other properties.

Lovely stay in a nice room with en-suite, loved the old furniture and beautiful bathroom fittings. Staff lovely, continental breakfast with lots of choice. Parking is free, and although it is a very small village it was nice to walk around and the villagers were friendly too.

Work trip Nice wee place but nothing in it. 1 shop. Food was great. I can recomend the fish & chips. I liked the fact it still had the old style street lights instead of the led ones. Very nostalgic.

Clean, friendly staff and Food was of a very good standard. Whats not to like.

Really lovely staff helped to create a warm atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast excellent. Would definitely satay again.
