Hotels Near Nike di Kalkis in Giardini Naxos

We were in this structure two weeks in late August with my family for summer holidays. I was immediately affected by the quality of the structure, which, despite being in a maritime context, is new, fully efficient in everything that is present in the room that proves to be functional. The staff is extremely kind, always with a smile (non-banal aspect that is not so frequently found) and always ready to give advice or support in small organizational issues clearly resulting from the lack of We know the place. Only, summer holidays are an important moment of the year to load batteries and distribute with energy. The structure that hosts a family, as I see it, can be an important trampoline to start and continue with the right foot during the rest period and certainly this structure, of those I visited in the years, The costs are absolutely competitive, considering ourselves to the Naxos Gardens in Sicilia, a place of extraordinary beauty. We really wish you a congratulation, we hope we can come back soon!

We found this hotel via Jet2 and thought it sounded nice. The hotel was stunning and we loved it (we are quite fussy) The lobby area is modern, the pool is beautiful and the breakfast setting and food is excellent. The pool food was ok (our children age 8 and 9 loved it) and the setting again is beautiful. We often went across the road to the restaurant Valentino's and bought pizza to eat at the pool or in the hotel garden. The pool does get busy so get a sun bed early (we had enough space every day). The sea is stunning and very easily accessible. The beach is pebbly but if you get shoes it's fine. Further down the beach is a lovely restaurant for lunch called Valentina (owned by Valentino's daughter). The rooms are dated but clean and spacious, the beds were very comfy and one large room was big enough for a family of 4. The location is great the beach, restaurants, shops and the boats are easy to walk to. Taormina is only 25 mins on the bus and it costs 2 euro pp. we did a fantastic boat trip to see the caves with Poseidon from Giardini Naxos and visited Taormina and Castelmola. Would go back tomorrow! Giving it 5 stars because it has everything you need for a lovely Italian holiday. For context our flight was cancelled and we were moved to another hotel free of charge (inc all food and drink for our last night). We checked in looked around decided the Marriott was far nicer and returned immediately (at our own expense). It was worth it!

The location of this hotel is simply perfect and the wonderful staff make the place really feel like a home from home! We originally booked this hotel for a one week stay but it was cancelled and we were tokd this was because the hotel was undergoing renovation when in reality the hotel had closed because of a mabagement issue so had reopened under new management by the time we had arrived in Taormina and were booked in elsewhere. As soon as we discovered it had reopened i went there and booked us in for 4 nights of pure luxury! We had a deluxe room with terrace and jacuzzi there are only 3 of these rooms they are spacious with a beautiful kingsize bed the terrace has chairs and loungers with a lovely jacuzzi and the weather was amazing. Big shout out to Amber on reception and Giuseppe by the pool they really made our stay special. When i return to Sicily this is the hotel i will be booking without question! Right on the Corsa Umberto with view from the infinity pool to die for great cocktails plentiful breakfast and lovely lunches overlooking Taormina bay exquisite!

Sadly, excluding a wonderful lady behind reception & a lovely cleaner, this hotel at best is a 2 star hotel. Our experience has just been horrific, and I feel it only fair to share our true honest happenings. We arrived and were upgraded to a larger room. Greatly appreciated. We asked for directions to the pool, which may I point out is NOT part of the hotel, it’s a lido on the beach only reachable by a 15/20 minute shuttle bus. So the advertising of this hotel having a pool onsite is very far from the truth. I filtered swimming pool & free cancellation & there is NO swimming pool. So please do not expect one. The hotel room was warn out & needed some tlc. The curtain rail fell and landed on my head on the first afternoon, and was left on the floor for our entire stay. No attempt to fix it for us. The shower cubicle doors would not open or close easily. In fact I’d shower with them open and put towels all over the floor so I didn’t create a huge mess. Sadly on our third day in the hotel, my partner showered & the cubicle door shattered all over him. Glass absolutely everywhere. In his feet on his legs and he was bleeding too. He has scratches left on his legs and glass was still in his feet. The cleaner in shock rushed in, and a gave my partner flip flops as you could barely see any floor without shattered glass. Between the cleaner and a staff member, they cleaned the mess as if it had never happened. And we were expected to continue our day. A lady behind reception offered us a small room which we declined, as worryingly it felt also in need of some help. We continued our stay, as Taormina is full right now and left the hotel today at 12pm. Our departure was nothing short of horrifying, we arrived at reception greeted by the grandson of the owner rudely & aggressively pointing at us, surrounding us by three further Italian men, we have been told are police to ensure we pay for our damages. We did immediately as felt somewhat threatened & forced, and it wasn’t until the police heard the whole story, that they agreed this was unacceptable behaviour from the hotel & an extremely aggressive way to treat two individuals. They apologised repeatedly but we had paid the hotel & were left without any choice. The police did all they could and eventually got us a 50% refund in the damages cost. Sadly it hasn’t actually been refunded.

Fantastic B&B just few steps away from the most beautiful view on Sicily. Everything was clean when we arrived and the room was being cleaned every day after we left for our trips. The lady at the reception booked us a table with an amazing view at the restaurant she recommended and she was right - the food at Al Saraceno was fantastic. Breakfasts were delicious - sweet as well as salty. The coffee was very good and if you ask the lady who prepares the meals, she will make you fresh scrambled eggs. We had a great time there and if we visit Castelmola again, we will definitely choose the same place to stay. Only downside was that air confitioning was a bit loud.

The private beach club was closed because is not the season, but the location is superb and every room is with the little balcony. Didn’t get the best one but is worth the price.

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! We last stayed here 4 years ago for one night before our flight home the following day. We decided to do the same again this year and our stay was once again very good. Our room was overlooking the courtyard which was absolutely fine. It was spacious with a really nice bathroom and comfortable bed. The key card entry system to get into the room once again foxed us for a few minutes. We visited the roof top bar for a drink after eating out and were surprised at how quiet it was, I guess the hospitality industry is still suffering to some extent. This really is a fabulous spot and we very much enjoyed our drink. We payed extra for our breakfast to enjoy the view of Etna, which undoubtable is lovely. The last time we stayed we were offered table service and a great selection of hot food this time it was a self service buffet, there was a good choice and some hot options, however a little pricy. You clearly are paying extra for the view. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. When we are next in Sicily we will definitely return.
