Sporting Baia Hotel

Claims they are 4 star but have NO Iron for guests. Beach is advertised as private beach for the hotel but beware it's NOT!. Swimming pool isn't run by the hotel and again, advertised as part of the hotel and it's NOT!. Extra fee required for pool and beach. Get your own toiletries as hotel provides 25ml shampoo/shower gel a day per person. It seems they are a super tight budget hotel. You are better off with an AirBnB since they provide literally NO SERVICE of their own. Breakfast: Enough choice but it's just basic for an acclaimed 3 or 4 star hotel. Goodluck sleeping on the rock solid beds. There are 2 venues just by it too who play super loud music 3 times a week usually till 3am. Either you join them, or no sleep. You are better off with an AIRBNB accommodation than this hotel which provides very minimal service. Most of their receptionist are rude and dont like to be asked questions. TRY ELSWHERE!

A poor choice. Dilapidated rooms begging for an upgrade. Hotel surrounded on all sides by traffic noise. Dreadful breakfast. Please do not support hotels whose managment are running them into the ground like this. It's a disgrace. Look elsewhere.

Lovely hotel a little dated but clean and spacious. Impressive dining room with extensive choice of food for break fast. Effective staff who sorted any issues out quickly and professionally. Excellent view of the bay from the front and views of Etna to the rear.

We stayed here as part of Cosmos tour. We were supposed to be going to a different hotel but it was changed at the last minute. I was reassured that the hotel had had a complete upgrade over the winter. The room had been decorated and there was a lovely new bathroom. We also had a balcony and lovely sea view. The room itself was clean but very, very uncomfortable. On entry the room smelled strongly and nauseatingly of cigarettes. We opened the balcony door and sprayed lots of air fresheners but the smell lingered. This should have been dealt with prior to our arrival. The bed has an awful cheap and lumpy mattress. Also, the air con doesn't get switched on until 1st June even though the weather was very hot. We asked, and the receptionist said he would 'try to sort it out' but he was just fobbing us off. For these reasons we didn't sleep a wink either night. We had dinner at the hotel one evening and it was horrible. The salad was OK (can't really go wrong) but the soup looked like sewerage. My gluten free pasta wasn't cooked so was inedible. They did offer to make it again but it would have taken at least 20 minutes and I couldn't be bothered. Main course was veal which we don't eat for ethical reasons but it was that or nothing. It was overcooked. Dessert was a postage stamp sided slice of cake for everyone else and a bruised but hard whole pear and a maggoty, hard whole apple for me. When I challenged the waiter that this did not constitute a dessert he was very rude and stormed off. The location is excellent and we loved our walks along the beach. There are excellent bars and restaurants very close. I gave one star for location but none for the hotel itself. I cannot recommend this hotel unless it remembers who pays the staff wages! They need to know they are there to serve us even if we are 'just' on a group tour.

This hotel is a nightmare from the 1970's, the rooms are old, and not too clean, the things are broken. The stuff is rude, the food is poor quality and they finish the breakfast at 9:30. I mean, who is wake up at 9 during vacation, or at Saturday morning to have breakfast? In my opinion in Gardini Naxos (where I spent 2 months in the summer of 2023, probably every other option is better then this hotel).
