"The hotel is very close to the attractions. There is a light rail within a 5-minute walk to the station, and St. Bavo's Cathedral is about a 7-minute walk away. The hotel room is very large, the bathroom does not have a dry and wet separation, and no one is sent to clean it every day. Cleaning service is only available if you stay for more than seven days."
"The hotel is one stop away from Ghent's central station. Some trains pass through Ghent and then reach this station in one stop. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station.
You can take a bus, ride a bicycle or walk to the old town of Ghent (each has a different experience). There is a bus terminal and a Carrefour near the hotel (but the quality of fresh food in this Carrefour is not very good, I recommend Albert Heijn in the city center)
The hotel has a parking lot, and the lobby is shared with Ibis style (the price is similar, the rooms here are larger and have a small kitchen). The small kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, microwave, kitchen utensils and tableware)
You can take a train from Ghent to Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels (the one-way train journey is less than 1 hour). At night, you can also enjoy the beautiful night view of the ancient city of Ghent. It is highly recommended."
The Rose House B&B provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Rose House B&B is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Ghent. Train Station Sint-Pieters Ghent is located approximately 3km away from this hotel. Seeing Ghent's sights from this hotel is easy with Flanders Expo, Fit Factory and Maaltebruggekasteel all close by. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site.
"Very clean and tidy, there is coffee, milk and hot cocoa downstairs for you to pick up, which is great. There is a commercial street outside and it is close to the supermarket."
"It was a surprisingly satisfying hotel. First of all, the price on weekends was not expensive. From the moment I entered the hotel lobby, I discovered the beauty of this place. The overall design was very good. The room was large and clean. Opposite was the ancient and mysterious building of Ghent. I regretted staying only for one night."
"Very small room with no amenities provided. Make sure bring your toothbrush and no kettle, cup too. 15 mins walk to city centre, not bad. But very closed to the rail station and intercity bus station."
"The accommodation was excellent – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was of high quality and provided a relaxing and pleasant stay. The overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I would definitely love to come back!"
"The hotel is a little far from the city center, but very close to our cross-border long-distance bus station. We checked out in the morning, stored our luggage, and picked it up in the afternoon. We rested in the hotel reception hall until 15 minutes before the bus departed. It was great! The counter service is friendly, the room is large and well-equipped, and it is close to the road but not noisy. We stayed for two consecutive nights and took a train from the train station near the hotel to Bruges for a whole day. It was very fun 😃. We chose to include breakfast because there were not many guests and the limited choice of food styles was the only drawback."
"Amazing helpful accommodating staff, spacious rooms, parking a bit expensive at 19 euros .
The breakfast was good lots of choice
15 minutes drive from the centre
The suite had beautiful large bed and everything and more to accommodate at very pleasant stay"
"The location is slightly off, in Ghent, but it is convenient to go up and down the highway. It takes half an hour to go to Brussels, Ulster, and Antwerp. The hotel room is bigger and the bed is big, breakfast is OK, cost-effective"

Amazing
CCarrie5569The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Coffee, tea and biscuits were provided. The bathroom was bright and the staff at the counter were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the central station, but a little far from the attractions. Since we were not in a hurry, we could reach the attractions in about half an hour.
AAnonymous UserA fantastic hotel with an excellent location right by the canal. The hotel has two entrances: one accessible by vehicle on a back street, and another directly opening onto the canal. Tour boats stop almost right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to pop back to rest our feet after exploring. The front desk staff were very friendly. The canal view was absolutely worth it; opening the window revealed a postcard-perfect scene. You could happily spend a whole day just enjoying the room. There's a supermarket nearby where you can buy fruit and water, and complimentary water was also provided in the fridge. The spacious bathroom was well-equipped with an iron, hairdryer, slippers, and a shower cap. Marriott's quality standards are definitely upheld here. Highly recommended!
KKate ThomBeautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided.
There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central.
The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm.
There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸
Bbabadooknot a bad location, nice room and view, really close to train station but 20mins walk downtown (faster only by tram). except for train station area most of shops nearby were closed (cafe, restaurants,…ghost streets). positive aspect music festival occurring during our stay. negative aspect was city tax (per person and day), too much in my opinion and for what?…
欧欧洲一个人的旅行The location of this store is very good, just near the scenic spot. The staff service attitude was excellent. I arrived very late that day and it was 12 o'clock in the middle of the night, but the staff still welcomed me warmly. It is a mixed man and woman, but it is very quiet, everyone is very quality and order. It should be noted that everyone should check in as early as possible. When you arrive in the middle of the night, you may not be able to check in, but you can still stay. In addition, for my first time staying in the Youth Hostel, there is a small reminder that this house needs to bring the Bed sheet down and put it in the hall when you check out.
GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy. We upgraded to a sea view room with a beautiful industrial style. It was so beautiful to listen to old records and look at the sea view. When checking in, they kindly handed us drinks and fruits. The front desk also had Fuji apples every day. Although they were not in the room, we were welcome to pick up two when we passed by. The downside was that the room was very small, the window could not be opened, and there were layers of doors in the corridor. I didn't know what to do when the fire alarm went off. It was a bit stuffy and we didn't turn on the heater. Overall, it was good. It was a few minutes away from central by boat, which was very convenient. Recommended!
GGiles LawrenceThe room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.
QquercetinOverall it's good, very close to the city center and convenient for travel. The socket has USB, even if you don't bring an adapter, it will be fine. The breakfast is rich. The disadvantage is that the room is small, suitable for one person, but it can also be used for two people, and the bathroom is very crowded. Hygiene needs to be improved, there are still residues on the toilet seat😭
KkellywalkerAbsolutely Incredible I just can't deny I suppose to stay just 1 day, but the receptionist from Tunisia is SO KIND , INCREDIBLE HUMAN, she talk to me saying MY NAME I have been in MORE THAN 28 countries a lot of 5 stars hotels , NEVER EVER anyone calling MY NAME !!! She make me feel so important for that reason I paid 3 more days !
by the way LOCATION IS Amazing police station next door so VERY SAFETY hotel , very clean, BIG ROOMS much better than expected!!!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the center of Belgium, making it convenient for travelers to visit the three major cities of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels. The rooms are spacious, the environment is peaceful, and the staff are friendly.
