"The room is very large, the balcony room is set, and the only one is on the road. Room number 141, everyone avoids lightning. Because the car sounds at night. I also encountered construction in the morning and couldn't sleep well.
Reaction with Trip was also solved.
There is always a fox smell when the room opens, and the window needs to be opened for ventilation.
It takes3-5 minutes to walk from the old street in the main district.
The hotel environment is great."
"old and classic hotel.
car park garage is small and very narrow.
when come out from the car park garage need to be very carefull from the exit door.
overall very satisfy on the location. tram station just infront of the hotel.. can be using credit card to pay and buy the tram ticket fee. easy access to town.."
"The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it is very close to our multinational long-distance bus station. In the morning, checkout luggage is collected in the afternoon. It is 15 minutes before the bus departure in the hotel reception hall. It is great! The counter service is friendly and friendly, the room is large and the equipment is good, and the road is not noisy. We stayed for two consecutive nights and took a ride from the train station near the hotel to Bruges for a whole day. We chose breakfast included because there were not many guests and there were fewer choices for meals, which was the only fly in the ointment."

"What a beautiful hotel! Rooms were very nice. The restaurant was completely booked online. Even when check-in, it was still asked if it was possible to book a table for 2. This was fortunately possible! And what a nice restaurant (adviser!) Also breakfast next morning was well arranged. Friendly staff and a good location (5 min and you are heart center) We will certainly come back here again!"
"The room is very clean and tidy, and the facilities are relatively complete. The breakfast is on the first floor. It is very rich. The attitude of the waiters is very good. It is relatively close to the campus of Ghent University Industrial Zone."
"Nice breakfast room. The room is also good. It's a little far from downtown (close to station) When you get water in the bathtub ... something is yellow; There is no air conditioner and the pen runs on the ceiling, but it doesn't get hot even in summer"
"The service of the hotel is very good, it is a small private house, the room is very big, and it is a handsome male waiter who also helped us plan the route of play. There is heating in the house, which just feels that the whole house is relatively old and smells a bit. Very convenient for self-driving, parking is free. You can rent hotel bicycles to play in Ghent, 9 euros per person a day. A small hotel very close to the people"
"The room on the 3rd floor was very dark. It was no exaggeration to say that you could hardly see the food on the table.
The room was very hot, and the electric fan helped a little. When I opened the window, I was bitten by mosquitoes at night.
Only a head shower, no hand shower."

AAnonymous UserGreat location, great and helpful front desk, but house keeping was rather unclean / weird.
I was still getting ready to leave my room, wearing my winter jacket and shoes etc, when the house keeping just entered the room and started cleaning the room straight away without giving me a little privacy before i leave. I was very uncomfortable and confused at that moment.
KKate ThomBeautiful hotel with perfect view of a cathedral from our twin room. Hotel is in a historic building with lovely architectural features by the canal and the room we were in was a cleverly designed ”duplex” with the bathroom and sinks on the upper floor (ie loft) which made full use of the almost double volume ceiling in the smallish twin room we were in. The only drawback was that the steps were narrow and steep and would pose a problem if one had mobility issues. The toilet was located by the door next to the entrance but there was no sink for handwashing. Alcohol gel in a pump bottle was provided.
There is a café, lifestyle / clothes shop and supermarket in the same building. Very convenient and the hotel's location was walkable to all the sights in Ghent central.
The front desk staff were very polite and gracious and allowed us to store our luggage when we arrived before 11am, since check-in was strictly at 4pm. We were happy to find that our suitcases had been already delivered to our room when we returned to the hotel at 4pm.
There are 2 bars in the hotel - one which is open to the public which was buzzing in the evenings and a guest-only ”Honesty Bar” (1st photo) in which hotel guests could purportedly help themselves to liquor and pen down what they had imbibed - but I never saw anyone in it ! This could be due to a lack of ice or mixers. Or glasses. 🍸
Bbabadooknot a bad location, nice room and view, really close to train station but 20mins walk downtown (faster only by tram). except for train station area most of shops nearby were closed (cafe, restaurants,…ghost streets). positive aspect music festival occurring during our stay. negative aspect was city tax (per person and day), too much in my opinion and for what?…
CCyrus+:
1) The staff of the reception is efficient and patient. She helped us check-in fast and explained to us the travel of the town.
2) The facilities of the hotel is much enough. They have gym room, other entertainment at the lobby. Also there are tables with USB port and free drinkable water at the lobby where you can work or chill at.
3) Inside the room, everything is clean enough. It is not noisy at night. The most impressive is that they have different cooking equipment in the room such as pans, microwave, electric stoves and other bowls and dishes so that we can cook.
4) The location is not far: 5 min walk from Gent Dampoort and 15 min walk to town.
-:
1) There are not much supermarket or grocery stores near the hotel.
JJamesGreat hotel in a great location! I was situated in the front of the hotel facing the street with beautiful views of Gent’s skyline.
Lots of cafes and restaurants just downstairs and in walking distance. There was also a lot of great shopping nearby. Standard retail that you could find in most cities and also interesting shops with handmade and unique products. Also walking distance to all the sights you want to see.
Although the room is small, it was comfy.
OOcampoThe location is not in the city center but it can be accessed via bus from the Ghent St Pieters Train Station. Cleanliness is guaranteed and the service is superb. I would definitely book again if I ever stay at Ghent.
AAnonymous UserIf you are sensitive to smell, please avoid this store. A fermented smell filled the corridors and rooms... The price is higher than the NH in the next block...
PPS The NH in the next block is a new store, with large rooms, new facilities and lower prices than ibis... I highly recommend it.
In addition, it is recommended that you drive to find a parking lot in advance & it is best to have full insurance. Ghent is... hard to describe.
GGiles LawrenceThe room was fine. We needed extra bedding and 2 nice staff came immediately and made the extra bed for us. However! We arrived with a reservation confirmation of 2 adults 1 child. Their confirmation had 2 people therefore the room they had was too small. They did have another room for 3 they said we could have but it would be 30 euros extra. At the time we simply agreed and paid as there was a big queue behind us and the amount was small. Buttons seemed like a con to extract more money from us, it wasn't our mistake as we had confirmation for 3 people at the designated price. It's a shame as I really liked Ghent and will certainly return but there are other hotels to choose from.
고고고I just needed the towel. Everything was great. Staff were friendly, people living in the same room were also friendly and nice. We enjoyed talking to each other. The facility was managed very clean and seamlessly. I would really recommend the stay. Also, the view from the room was great!
GGuest UserThe lady at the entrance is very sympathetic and smiling. We were a little scared because the price was affordable but it was better than we expected. The building is a little old, the rooms especially the bathroom are exactly as in the photos, they are renovated. The frames are very bad but there is no problem with the heating, the room was incredibly hot, we had to turn off the heater, it is right in the middle of the center, right next to the places to visit. The hot water is nice but it flows a little bit less, in short, it is worth the money, I think it is not mediocre to stay.
