Fantastic location close to the cathedral and within easy walking distance of just about everything. Good tram connections to the St Peter’s station. Room was clean and nice with plenty of space. Bed was quite soft and the shower was a little dark inside but this wasn’t problematic. Host was friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice stay.

Clean room, modern furniture, tidy bathroom. No bad smell in the room. Twin beds available. Air conditioner is working without any problem. You also have a kettle, 3 cups, around 6 bags of tea and 6 bags instant coffee. Hair fan in a bathroom as well. There is nothing wrong that i could think of about this hotel.

Nice big room with 2 floors. Staff were really friendly & helpful. We had the choice of bed size. They gave us parking alternatives. The hotel was old fashioned (in a good way). The television had BBC 1 & BBC 2. There was access to a computer downstairs. It felt homely coming back in the evening’s to the automatic lights around the hotel turning on. The only thing I would want changed is the beds to be wider. This hotel felt like a home away from home. If I could rate 4 and a half stars I would. I will consider revisiting someday. I recommend you visit.

Pretty good location about 10 mins walk from the central sights. Secure car parking was available for us but there aren't too many spaces. The welcome was warm and friendly and the breakfast was good for a budget hotel. As others have said the decor is dated but I was happy to stay here rather than a budget chain.

Good position, very friendly staff that spoke English. We were on the first floor and although the room was not massive, it was OK. Big bathroom. Good air con. Did not have breakfast so can't comment on that. Close to everything in Ghent and what an interesting city. Everything was clean and tidy.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Cathedral for 4 days as part of a tour of Flanders. There is parking available in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (for a fee). The rooms are very large, clean and quiet. The bathroom also met our requirements completely. The free WiFi worked perfectly. The hotel's location in the immediate vicinity of the city center is great. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The friendliness of the staff was first class. My wife has to eat gluten-free - she was served fresh, gluten-free bread from the bakery. We can highly recommend the Hotel Cathedra and would definitely book it again.

Excellent and cozy hotel, a couple of blocks from the cathedral, in the best of the historic center of the city. The room we had was very spacious, bright, well heated and comfortable. Breakfast was very complete and fresh. Special mention for the young lady who welcomed and assisted us during our stay.
