Filion Suites Resort & Spa

The hotel is in the sticks abit however the views are magnificent. The hotel puts on a minibus to take guests to mythos beach. Food was ok, drinks really good. We had a room at the bottom of the hill of the hotel which was a trek but can't grumble. Try get a room nearer the pool bar. No evening snacks but shop onsite will be open. All in all good place but not a 5star so lower expectations are required. I would return.

How this has a good rating is beyond me! Stressful and disastrous from start to finish. Good points: stunning location and hotel is nice/good room size. We stayed in two family suites. The rest: No sufficient air con in the restaurant and none at the pool bar. Standard fans blowing mid 30 heat onto the food is not safe or adequate! On that note food and drink was diabolical. Repetitive and tasteless. Also nothing hardly labelled so no idea what was on offer. We ended up buying drinks and snacks from the shop. You also couldn’t take food from the pool bar to the pool. Beer was full of froth or pump not working most of the time. The pool table was usually unusable because the balls were stuck and no one wanted to help. Oh and they didn’t have any “change” onsite so that we could play it. Yet they take cash for towels and certain drinks. Staff were plain rude. Witnessed them charging a girl for a coffee! Then the lady asked if there were nuts in the cake and staff took a bite, put it on the plate and told her to take an antihistamine. Toilets don’t have locks so take someone with you to stand and guard the door for you! Entertainment started at 9 and was poor. The clown was so magic he didn’t even appear so by 9.30 we went back to our room. Outside our room were our own sun beds and beanbags… only they’re just on mud, so filthy. Transfer: be prepared that if you choose a coach transfer you will not be dropped to the hotel. The roads don’t allow for a coach. The shuttles to the beach are not every half an hour as stated and be prepared to fight for your life to get on one (and they will cram about 11 of you into it). Once you’re at this resort you’re pretty much stuck there unless you are able to communicate yourself to the taxi drivers. Staff don’t want to help.

Fantastic experience..friendly atmosphere .. good staff and people.the facilities are nice and comfortable. The food and drinks are valuable.

This hotel is down as a 5 star but no way is it .No locks on the toilet doors around the pool . No pins attached to the sun umbrella so they could not be used around the pool areas. one cup and saucer with an old kettle in the bottom off the wardrobe. Toilets in communal areas had no hand towels / toilet paper. old broken furniture around the pool bar not one umbrella to sit in the shade and have a drink . Bus hotel service bad and is dirty . The restaurant needs an update so drab , no cutlery / or dinner service placed on the tables constantly looking for cups etc . 5 star means a little luxury i’ve been to a 5 star hotel before and this honestly was a let down don’t believe the photos.

The food was fantastic & varied, the staff absolutely accommodating- even bringing a cake and flowers for one of our family for their birthday. Their bus to & from Bali runs regularly and they have nice live entertainment in the evening. Each bedroom has air-conditioning that works brilliantly! This is certainly a hotel that goes above & beyond for their visitors

It was all lovely, great staff, really good food. The rooms were beautiful and clean - extremely tastefully decorated. And a real plus was there were no mosquitos or flies.
