This place deserves a much higher rating, it was a lovely place to stay, food was nice, the rooms where clean and where maintained everyday all with a balcony or porch area. there was a shuttle to the beach and the staff where lovely The only semi issues where that cocktails where not included in the all inclusive (however they where rather cheap)

When I was looking at all the reviews on here I got very concerned about what we’d booked so if you’re in the same position I was - don’t worry! It’s really not as bad as everyone has been making out. The pool and the rooms were clean, the staff were lovely, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The air conditioning in the room is super efficient and the staff really do go out of their way for you. My favourite thing - they offer shuttles to and from the beach at certain hours during the day. They also have a deal with one of the beach bars that lets you have 10% off the bill and free sun loungers. The walk to the beach is easy, but coming back up the hill in the heat was a little challenging so I definitely recommend taking a picture of the shuttle times at the front desk. The less desirable parts - the food is okay. Kind of what you’d expect from all inclusive (although the baclava they offer is fantastic definitely try it). My main issue really was with the drinks in the all inclusive. You could get wine, beer, spirits, and mixers. All cocktails you have to pay for. Mind, they are significantly cheaper than what you’d pay in England, but still. If I were to recommend something to the hotel it would be to include a couple of simple cocktails in their all inclusive. Location wise, it’s a little further from the main town of Rethymno but you can get a taxi there for €15 or a bus quite easily. Definitely worth checking out the town. All in all, I would come back! I probably wouldn’t go for the all inclusive because we ended up eating / having drinks out most of the time, but otherwise I had a very enjoyable stay.

We recently stayed at Adele Paradise, advertised as a 4-star hotel, but our experience was far from that standard. This hotel is closer to a 3 star hotel than a 4-star. I have been to much nicer 3-star hotels with more luxury. There were no shower holders in any rooms, so we had to hold the showerhead ourselves while bathing. The bathrooms were old and worn, looking like they were from the 90s, with a bad smell coming from the drain. For the first three nights, we were woken up at 1 AM by loud yelling and banging from the neighbors, lasting around 2 hours each night. Despite complaining to the reception every day, we were only moved to a new room after the third night. The hotel pool was very dirty, appearing not to have been cleaned for a long time, and the water didn’t smell of chlorine. After swimming once, I developed a red rash that required a doctor’s visit and intravenous treatment for 3 hours. The breakfast was awful. There was water in the scrambled eggs, and the juice tasted very artificial. Additionally, reaching the hotel required walking up a hill that took around 15 minutes, which was quite inconvenient. This hotel is not worth the money or the hassle. I recommend finding another place to stay if you expect a pleasant and trouble-free experience.

I visited in 2018, BUT stay away from this hotel. Everything was bad with this hotel Food = terrible Cleaning = terrible, even if you ask for cleaning or new towel, they won’t do anything. They change name every year or two to get rid of bad reviews, enough said?

"Mud" pools, sticky coating on the body, beehives near the pool, disposable plastic cups, fighting for shampoo and shower gel, fighting for dessert and a lot of other trash! Until now, I could never even think that I would encounter such a person in Greece. Before visiting this paradise, you should determine whether you are ready for: 1. Constant systematic struggle for shampoo and shower gel 2. Swimming in a dirty pool, where the bottom is visible only in the part where its depth does not exceed 50 cm. After swimming in the pool, your body will be sticky, and here remember that there will most likely be no shower gel in the room, so I recommend that if you already got here - buy your shampoo and shower gel, or ask for it yourself at the reception every time. 3. Some of the umbrellas are broken, so if you don't plan to walk to the sea for 15 minutes every time, or get used to the shuttle that goes to the city twice a day (uphill and downhill), then take more sunscreen. 4. There is an apiary near the hotel, where the bees do not drink water well, so be prepared - they are constantly drinking water near the pool. Take something with you to drive them away. 5. Consuming drinks from disposable plastic cups at the bar near the pool, non-alcoholic ones - read what is wrong with them in point 6, and alcohol in point 7. 6. The food in the restaurant is delicious, I especially liked the fish, but the selection is far from 4 stars, it’s not even 3. There is always a shortage of seats, you can wait more than 20 minutes in the corridor, the machines with drinks (juices and soda) are set up like this , that the orange juice is barely yellow - the amount of concentrate is 20% of the factory settings. Separately, I would like to mention the corner with desserts—everything is stable here - the selection consists of sliced melon, sliced watermelon, and oriental sweets of the same kind. Only once a day - during dinner, somewhere around 8 pm, a cake is taken out - only up to 10 pieces. At this time, the dinner turns into gladiatorial fights of the guests for at least one bite, and the kitchen workers go out to look at this ring and laugh, although here I think it is necessary to cry. There is also a scale at the entrance to the restaurant, in my opinion this is such an informal hint for guests not to eat too much at times. 7. All inclusive here is very specific, it works only until 10 pm, and the nearest civilization is 10 minutes from the hotel, and you will have to go back downhill. In All inclusive, the bar includes (local ouzo, brandy, raki, white and red wines diluted with water, beer and a cocktail - just one without ice) After 10 o'clock, everything becomes paid, they immediately start serving drinks in glassware, but don't be happy, even for the money, the cocktail will consist of 85% ice.

Booked this through *********** as The Adele Resort but locally is called The Adele Paradise. It was difficult to find but lovely once there. Opposite the Aquila Rethymnon hotel, you turn right and go under the under pass then follow the road around to the right and then it will take you left up the hill. Probably a 10-15 mins walk up a track. The hotel will be on your left. We had room 515 which was a lovely sea view room complete with flat screen tv (with English BBC news). The wi fi worked well. Large king size bed and good, quiet air conditioning. The resort is pretty with white washed buildings in blocks. There is a large pool with steps rather than ladder on one end. Numerous sunbeds and some parasols plus a shower to use before entry or to cool down. The property has one outside bar and one inside bar ( Although the inside bar was not in operation despite being 85% booked. This area also had a pool table, air hockey and flat screen TV showing football. To the right if this was a lovely seating area that you could watch the sun go down. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice both hot and cold. If you are not on all inclusive, you can buy lunch and dinner for 15 Euros per person. Excellent value. I had 4 courses for dinner. Great points: You are away from the town so all you could hear were the Cicadas. Very comfortable rooms and easy to navigate around the property. Parking is also available if you hire a car. Not so good: People were killing the "wasps" around the pool. They are NOT wasps but honey bees as Crete is famous for their honey. Please do not kill them, they will not go near you. They only want the moisture from the pool. The pool tile edge needs a good clean. People getting in with sun tan oil on so it has a green ring around the top of the tiles, however the cleaned the pool daily. The bar is open from 10.00 am till 22.00. Really should have one bar open until Midnight. Overall, a lovely property that does a shuttle down to the main road several times a day. They need to offer snacks I'd you don't want to eat in the restaurant. I ended up have a pizza delivered which reception will order for you.

Arrived at 0030 and barring the transfer dropping us at the bottom of the hill in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Can I say this not on the hotel, however adds context to my initial complaint. Arriving that late after 10 hours of travel from the my door in the uk to reception. And sweating up that hill. I would have liked a drink, as a beer was utterly called for. My complaint. The bar shuts at 2200. Not becomes a paid bar... Shuts. I've never known an all inclusive bar have that early a close. My assumption is that while they prep for busy season. They have not staffed it for that option. Confirming this speaking to the barman. Who was nothing short of a Beetle, in terms of one man bands. As he worked from as early as 7am until as late as 0030. He worked during my time there doing numerous jobs too. And yet still had time to talk, laugh and make the experience a good one. I didn't catch his name but he had only been there a month and was learning his trade. I would pass onto him that England are rubbish, but not as bad as Greece are in the euros right now. He was great. The room we had was at the pool side. Admittedly, our opinion was we had one of the best 6 rooms available. However it's neither too big or too hilly to get anywhere and enjoy the pool, bar, restaurant. The room was sufficiently clean and they came past every days to clean and offered fresh towels every 2 days. The room was a large bed a division wall and a single bed. Wardrobe, draws and bathroom with a TV, fridge, hairdryer and kettle. What else would you ask for? Not to mention great Aircon. The bathroom was the only part I'd suggest could do with some work. However I'm not there to sit in the bathroom for hours. So it worked as a bathroom should. Food - I am a picky eater. Not adventurous at all. At most all inclusive I'm the laughing stock of friends, relying on chips and kids selections and breads. The selection over 5 days was varied. I saw beef, lamb and chicken on offer. Different fish daily. Pastas and sauces, rice's and even varying salads from tomato heaven to feta heavy to individual items. And different seasoned potatoes nightly that were lovely. Pizza one night too to add something different. So IF you didn't find variety I can't see how. Breakfast was even varied with omelettes prepared differently on a few days it had fillings like sausage and mushroom then other days ham and peppers. My only MINOR issue here, is dessert. I have a sweet tooth and barring a the same selection of 4 ice creams it was very samey. A little cake and biscuits. Good bread selection. Addressing other issues. There are bees around the pool. I'm not blaming the hotel. The location is rural and Greece is famous for honey you would think that meant there has to be bees involved. I'm not complaining I'm addressing and giving the situation some light. It was upto 35° last week. And had been 40+° the week before. They're drinking the pool water. A good sight in my mind that it's c

My adult family and myself have just arrived back to the UK after staying at The Adele Paradise Hotel, The staff were friendly, and could not do enough to make our stay perfect in everyway. The food was varied, fresh and served to perfection. The hotel is on a hill which can be difficult if you have a walking problem, but the Hotel are happy to ferry you if that is a problem, at no cost, the hill just makes the sunset and view of the sea more spectacular. I would highly recommend a stay, whatever your reason for visiting this beautiful part of the world.

Not a great stay. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. 2 Stars maximum. Only good thing was the breakfast. Beautiful variety and freshness and nice people helping and serving in restaurants and bars. Room was dark. No windows. No hot water. The pool bar did not have the drinks mentioned on the menu. Did not take cards so the poor lady had to go down to reception and get the pdq so I could pay. Parking is horrendous. Its a field with stones and dirt. The entrance to it is bumpy and awful. No signage at all. From the parking there is no access to the hotel itself. You need to go out from where the cars get in and walk down to reception from the main street to get in. Many things don't make sense in that hotel. Wouldn't rush back
