We spent a week here with my daughter, her husband and their 1-year-old daughter. My love had also been here 40 years ago and had great memories of it. Once again we were spoiled with an extensive breakfast and dinner at this hotel, with the salad bar as the 4th course! Delicious soups, choice of three main courses and a delicious dessert. Every day housekeeping cleaned the room or informed whether anything needed to be replaced. Spacious rooms with lovely bathroom. The owners and staff went out of their way to make everyone happy. Unfortunately, there was also a large group of Belgian guests who could not behave and behaved rudely. It was the case that we had some symptoms of illness, but medication was provided without any problems and no fuss was made about doing a few extra washes. We have nothing but praise for Jacob, Beverly, Sabine and the staff of Hotel Waldhof! Thank you for this wonderful pampering week, we would love to come back again!

In our opinion one of the best small-scale hotels in the area, we cannot agree with the experience of the negative review. Super sweet and friendly owners and staff, breakfast very nice (different types of bread, 4 types of cheese, 6 types of meat, several types of jam, honey, sweets and egg!), dinner was 3 courses (optional salad bar as 4th course) also nice and the soup was excellent and everything fresh! Rooms neat and clean, if we needed anything, nothing was too much (having a 1-year-old baby, doing laundry or helping with medication when she wasn't feeling well, nothing was too much). Treat the person serving you as you would want to be treated. We have experienced other guests who behaved out of proportion and the staff still managed to remain extremely friendly! Sabine, Jacob and Beverly, we would love to come back!

The breakfast was terrible and I didn't eat anything here. There was very little choice. I couldn't do it that evening, the hotel is so noisy. It is very noisy even if you walk down the stairs and sit up straight in your bed. The people who work there are creeps. It is very small and dirty and if you are still in the room at half past eight, they will not clean up or bring new towels. There was also mold in the shower head. The site says there is a swimming pool, but don't be fooled, because there isn't one. So I would say keep looking and I don't understand why the other reviews are good, because it isn't. IT'S HELL!
