Check in was smooth, high floor non-smoking room automatically arranged as i was returned customer. Greeted enthusiastically by the front staff. Food at breakfast was comprehensive. Car park system best, totally fuzz free. Entertainment partners also easily located within premises, no need to travel elsewhere and risk getting caught for drink driving.

Wife and I started developing rashes after day 1.
We don’t think it’s bed bugs but the bed sheets may not have been cleaned thoroughly.
Hotel environment was overall okay.

The location of this hotel is great....directly opposite a couple of malls, the public transport hub in Komtar, several nearby restaurants. You are around a 10 minute walk to the historical parts of Georgetown, or just jump on one of the buses in Komtar (The CAT bus leaving from stop 9 is free and does a circuit of most of Old Georgetown).
Great view (We were on the 20th floor), comfortable bed, bathtub etc. Generally clean. Super friendly staff.
The downsides are that the rooms are in major need of refurbishment. Old and tired looking, decades old furniture, walls all scratched and scuffed. 1980s style decor.
Still a good deal to stay here, but perhaps don't expect you are getting a 4 star place....maybe in 2015 it was.

For a 4-star hotel, the room interior and amenities don’t really look like a 4-star hotel. But the price and location are quite reasonable. The bed is comfortable, the hotel breakfast is very nice, and the service is good.

I had an excellent stay at St Giles Wembley. The hotel was super clean, and everything was well-maintained. I experienced no issues during my stay, and the service was smooth and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

As a 4 star hotel, but they didnt provide service like sending baggage to ur room, and daily house keeping. During my stay, i have faced issue that the pipe in toilet was leaking, but waited for 1 hour and called for few times only they sent staff to solve. Breakfast is ok, cafe staffs are friendly and attentive. This is hotel is the lower price among 4 stars hotel in Penang. But i will not consider to come back again.
