Room was assigned considerable rest view as we can partially see great Seaview. However, Overpriced hotel if to compare to Kuala Lumpur Standard. Hotel is newly built and opened. The sofa is too long and blocked the way to open and close the curtains. At this price and design of the sofa, auto curtains is expected and coffee machine should be provided in the room. The bedsheets was rough and really below Marriott standard. The corridor is not spacious and wide enough (5"feet) as expected for this overpriced hotel. The entrance door to room also not as wide as expected.

hotel is new, lobby is well designed. room is worse then any other Marriott's room, room is not very big, the curtain is not auto controlled so you have to straddle the couch to close.it. which is stupidly designed like this. the toilet stink like renovation company don't know how to seal the toilet nicely and the room uses cheap material and did not try to make up for it, the moment I entered the room, my eyes and nose were blind by the propionaldehyde. not to mention the moment you pull open the drawer and closet, very strong smell hit me so hard even I felt sick. I guess the receptionist was an intern, he even didn't know how to help deposit customer's luggage, he just stumble for like a guide book forever while I stood waiting for a piece of receipt to identify my luggage only.

This is the best hotel to stay in Penang.
The room was new and sophisticated, and the colors, decorations, and quality of the bed made it very comfortable.
Above all, the hospitality of all the staff was wonderful and impressive. This time I stayed with my daughter, and I was very happy that everyone was always smiling and friendly towards her.
The kids club is also well-equipped, and the staff in charge are very good. My daughter enjoyed using it every day.
The negative aspects were that the refrigerator in the room was too small to cool drinks, and the hair dryer was heavy and difficult to use, which I think was intentional, but I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.
There are some harsh reviews, but please feel free to stay here. It will soon become a hotel that represents Penang.
