We went for lunch and sat outside in the lovely beer garden. We received friendly and excellent from all the Stern staff. We ordered the Weiner schnitzel with roast potatoes and the ravioli steinpilz and two large steigl beers. The food was delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch in a great location. We recommend you give the restaurant a try.

I wnt on a tour and stayed in this hotel in January 2023. The hotel, staff and food were all 5 star. As this was the first time I went on a holiday alone since I lost my husband nealy 10 years ago, I enjoyed it so much planing to go back next year.

Ce n'est pas la première fois que nous y séjournons mais le plaisir est chaque fois renouvelé. Toute la famille est enchantée. Que ce soit les enfants (6 et 8 ans) qui ont adoré la montagne, les poneys, la salle de jeu, la piscine, ... que les parents qui goûtent aux joies de la balade en montage et de la gastronomie. Félicitations particulières au chef qui nous régale !

Wir waren im GH Essen. Einmal Rump-Steak mit Gemüse und einmal Forellenfilets mit Kartoffel. Das Steak war eine Zumutung.. es war fettes Schweinefleisch und zirka 1 cm dick. Wenn schon kein entsprechendes Rindfleisch zur Verfügung mehr war, hätte man das sagen müssen. Wir haben trotz Hunger nach 1/4 aufgegeben.Die Forelle war sehr alt, hat bereits stark gerochen und war nicht mehr genießbar. Nach Mitteilung hat der Kellner nur gelächelt…. sogar der Kaffee wurde uns noch verrechnet. Absolut unzumutbar! Wir kommen mit Sicherheit nie mehr wieder.

Mi sono fermata per la pausa pranzo, di passaggio verso la Germania. Il posto è molto carino e tranquillo, era una bella giornata di sole e fuori si stava benissimo. Cibo classico come si trova in queste zone, ma fatto bene (ho mangiato filetto di trota con patate ed insalata). Anche l'hotel deve essere molto carino!

Hotel mit Mängeln. Motto ist Nachhaltigkeit, Bio und Umwelt. Warum ist dann nur ein kleiner Teil des Essen Bio? Das ist für mich reines Greenwashing! Zimmer ist relativ klein und hat kein abgetrenntes Badezimmer. Frühstück ist gut, aber nicht top. Keine weichgekochten Eier und auch Spiegeleier nur totgebraten. Abendessen gerade so ok. Kaum Auswahl. Umbuchungen kosten extra. Servicepersonal meist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Chef hingegen unfreundlich. Angebot für Kinder ist ausbaufähig. Schwimmbad etwas kühl, aber sehr schön. Fazit - für den durchaus gehobenen Preis nicht gut genug.

Die Bewertung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf das Lokal. Wir haben abends unter der Woche ein kleines Essen mit unseren Kindern eingenommen, das leider nicht den meist guten Internet-Rezensionen standhielt. Die Rinderkraftbrühe war in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse mit zerkochten Petersilienkartoffeln, bekommt man in jedem etwas besseren Autobahn-Rasthof genauso. Der Beilagensalat war ein wässriger Haufen Grünzeug mit dezentem, etwas muffigen Dressing. Service war freundlich-rustikal. Zum Gesamteindruck Außenbereich/Eingangsbereich/Gaststuben: Hier wechseln sich geschmackvolle, teils moderne Elemente mit wild zusammengewürfelten alten Einrichtungskomponenten ab. Macht insgesamt einen eher unruhigen, nicht stimmigen Eindruck. Wie es im Gesamtgebäude sonst ausschaut, kann ich natürlich nicht bewerten. Wir hatten aufgrund einer privater Empfehlung ursprünglich überlegt, im Stern einen Zwischenaufenthalt mit Übernachtungen einzulegen, werden aufgrund der gemachten Erfahrungen aber zukünftig erstmal einen Bogen um das Hotel+Restaurant machen.
