The Hotel Flower of Monemvasia looks very attractive from the outside. We get a large room with two bedrooms and a nice balcony. The bathroom had a shower with a curtain. The toilet paper holder was broken, the room door was stuck and it was cold in the room - very cold. In the two days we managed to heat the room to 20°C. There was only one chair in the rooms. The breakfast was sufficient. The cleaner mopped the room with a lot of water, which due to the cold floor caused us to almost fall on the slippery floor. It took over an hour before it was safe to move around the room again.

Absolutely amazing staff at the Filoxenia - plenty of knowledge of where to go, what do do, and where to eat - nothing was a problem. Good sized room - very clean, along with the bathroom, and amazing views from the balcony to 'The Rock' of Monemvasia. Plenty of parking right outside, beach just across the road, and easy walking distance to tavernas for meals. Also easy walking distance to Monemvasia village and the climb to the top. Breakfast was excellent (served next door for 6 euros each) and good value. Would have no hesitation recommending the Filoxenia, and would definitely stay again.

Villa Diamanti was a pleasant surprise during our stay in Greece. It offers very clean rooms directly on the sea. The reception was excellent, always smiling and available you feel easily at home. Our room was wide and clean, directly on the sea. We loved to sleep with the sound of waves. There is a small refrigerator and a common kitchen where you can make coffee and coffee. It is just a few minutes walk from the country's beach and the ancient centre of Monemvasia, and is next to the largest supermarket in the area. We have been very good, we recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Monemvasia and enjoy the wonderful Greek hospitality.

This is a beautiful spot and well worth a visit, but it is busy and cramped and you have to park a bit away from the entrance gate. It’s bigger than you think, with lanes and stairs everywhere. Well worth the climb up to the fortress for the views but not for the faint hearted. We stayed in the centre and couldn’t sleep for the noise coming out of one of the bars-till nearly 4am! If you’re going to stay, choose a hotel farther away from the entrance gate. Swimming is possible from the rocks.
