Perfect Location who Buddhist travelers and comfortable, clean, safety, perfect healthy breakfast I’ll book again next year. I’m glad been staying Marasa Sarovar hotel last 3 year during my Buddhist trip at Gaya 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Excellent resort and helpful staffs. But some upstairs guests room a bit noisy. Location near a biggest sleep Buddha and take rickshaw a few minutes to Mahabodhi main temple.

This hotel stands head and shoulders above the competition in Bodhgaya for comfort, atmosphere, design and service. If you are wondering how the top rated hotels compare here is a brief summary.. The Hyatt Hotel is a little out of the centre and does not have lawns or a pool. There are significant service issues and a real problem with pigeons making the hotel environs unhygienic. The rooms are a high standard of comfort but for some reason don't have a table in front of the sofa for resting your coffee on. Inexplicably they don't offer room service for food which is a major deficiency in service standards. The Anand International Hotel has very helpful staff and good food at reasonable prices. It is also situated quite centrally. This is a at best a 3 star hotel with basic facilities.. and nothing wrong with that. Just don't expect luxury accommodation. Unfortunately the small swimming pool is poorly maintained and is dirty. And now we come to this hotel. Be aware it is a few km away from the centre of Bodhgaya. The village in which it is situated in is extremely poor and the contrast with the gated luxury of the hotel and the surroundings is striking. However the hotel are aware of this and apart from offering jobs to locals from the village they are trying to secure land in order to build a school for the village children many of whom are in abject poverty. As with all the hotels in Bihar you need to be aware that it's a dry state and that you will be required by the hotel to sign an undertaking that you will not consume any alcohol whilst resident. Consuming alcohol is a crime in Bihar. As for the standards within the hotel there is only one word for it. Excellent. The surroundings are really beautiful ..... gardens ,flowers, and water features all maintained to a very high standard. It has a classy very high end resort feel and unusually for the state it has been designed with elegance and aesthetics in mind, which combine to produce an exceptional ambience. A good size swimming pool is, as the rest of the property very well maintained. Room service was prompt and professional. The Dinner and Breakfast buffets were excellent with a personal wish for some more spicy dishes on offer ,but the food like everything else in the hotel was of an extremely high standard. The rooms were again thoughtfully designed comfortable and spacious with a large table if you wished to enjoy meals from the excellent in room dining. So if you want the best hotel in the Bodhgaya (by some margin) experience the understated and elegant luxury with Oberoi standards of service at this hotel. It's the best option by far.

The hotel is probably the best in Bodh Gaya, it is very elegant and stately. I love the architecture, the walkways, ponds, pools, etc, make it a refreshing sanctuary from the chaos of India. The staff here are the best ! They make every meal I had here the best ! Lead by Mr Sovan, the team Miss Lakshmi, Mr Jaymesh, Mr Nitesh and Chef Ashish , they take good care of me. There are good variety of food and desserts. I enjoy all my meals here. I miss my nightly Masala Tea !
