"The room is really small. I would say it is only suitable for one person. It is as small as you can't open your suitcase throughout the whole time in the room. You need to climb up to the bed. It does not feel that private. The window is on the door with a manual blind. And it is next to a see-through toilet. No chair is provided as there is not enough space to get a chair. You need to ask a hair dryer from the reception. Reception is available most of the time at night. Snacks and drinks are available as well. The location is tricky. The hotel is in the terminal, but there is only a lift to let you access the hotel. So, you need to go down a level from the terminal by that specific lift. Clean in general, the shower and toilet are not separate but it is a bit of distance between them."
"The staff were friendly and one of the cleaners offered to take one of my suitcases to the elevator for me. The gym was a good size, although the elliptical trainer didn't work; the treadmill was fine. There is adequate space for a few people to do a HITT workout with some limited free weights.
One of the reasons I booked my stay there is because it advertised a sauna and upon arrival I was informed this was the not the case. I was told that this was a *********** issue and that the hotel had never had a sauna. I think it would be a great asset to any hotel. It's the only reason I gave the rating of 4 out of 5 stars for facilities.
The walk to the South terminal was easy and within a 10 minute walk. Coolest vending machine I've ever seen in the lobby of a hotel, just in case you needed some USB cables or international plugs. Such a great idea for a hotel!
I would definitely stay there again."
"The Bloc Hotel was ideal location for early flights out from Gatwick in the morning having checked in our luggage the night before. It is a very simple but well designed minimalistic room comprising of a comfortable bed and shower/toilet. Very clean!
Facilities of the departure area were easily accessible and the hotel is directly adjacent to the airport security, so very convenient.
Will always use this when flying out early from Gatwick 👍👍👍"

"Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Easy 5 min walk from north terminal or you can take the shuttle right to the door. All staff were friendly, polite and professional. I didn’t eat there as arrived late and had a very early start. Tea/coffee making facilities in room, hairdryer, fresh towels and the bed was just amazing for a relaxed comfortable night. Large room with sofa. Only one criticism, they forgot my early morning call but my phone alarm done the job."
"Location is right next to Gatwick North Terminal. Hotel is very basic and ok for an overnight stay to catch an early morning flight, can’t expect too much. Room seems dusty and not very cleaned. The hotel gets very busy - it was a 2 hour wait for dinner, bar was very noisy and check-in reception was very crowded. The worst part of the experience is the elevator! Very long wait from lower ground floor to go up to reception floor with long queue of many people with luggages waiting in line"
"Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to South Terminal and all undercover. Clean room, very comfortable bed and great shower. Range of bars and restaurants to suit all."
"We enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel. It was lovely. Quiet, beds are heavenly comfy, my little one loved it too. Breakfast was really good. I would definitely stay there again."
"The Hotel is ideally situated and can access directly near the easy jet bag drop off in North Terminal. Don't even have to go outside. Checkin was so simple and all my previous requests were carried out. Room was spacious with tea and coffee facilities. Beds were very comfortable too. We had an early flight so only had continental breakfast which was delicious and set us up ready for our flight. Check out was a breeze too and there was a very pleasant helpful gentleman there even though it was 5am in the morning. Have booked again for our next early flight in May. Highly recommend"
