The venue is perfect with amazing outdoor space and beautiful event space, however, it is unfortunate the ”banquet menu” did not match with this amazing location. There was not one single ”seasonal” ingredient in the dinner offerings, hot creamy butternut squash soup, much too rich and thick for a summer (July) wedding, could have offered a chilled cucumber with fresh mint, chilled seasonal gazpacho, even a light broth would have been better for a hot summer night. The appetizer, some ”gray” concoction of eggplant puree, looked more like cat food, horrible texture and flavour, maybe a simple salad with light vinaigrette, or fresh tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil, light and seasonal...the main course was some, again, ”gray” steamed beef, covered what looks like some onion ”plastic wrap” with mushy potatoes, and vegetables that were soooo salty. Dessert a gelatinous maple flavoured, mass produced store bought mess....maybe maple in spring or fall, but a lighter fresh seasonal offering would have been so much better, fresh strawberries, with a shortcake with light Chantilly cream....it is unfortunate that the B&G paid for such a horrible menu, Chef, go back to school, and learn menu planning, with seasonal and local offerings!.....you have had 2 years to upgrade your skills!!.....also please hire competent staff, bartenders (2) could not keep up with clients during the cocktail reception, just under 100 people, for the Hilton standards, ...terrible service.

• The Motel Adam Report (G-town, QC @ Feb. 2022) Cons: icy parking lot; not a kitchenette w/ stovetop for that price ($3,200/month); 2nd door lock sticks a lot, which is obvs dangerous re 🇨🇦 terrorism; washroom cabinet design flaw —> no handles + slams shut; handicap bar taking space @ an already too-small shower makes it exceptionally difficult for someone severely disabled to shower @ that too-small washroom; incl. brekky incl. *untoasted* bagels directly from the pkg (w/out even toasters @ the rooms) (!); hotel necessities not accessible for the guests, which should be common Covid practice @ 2022—guests should NOT have to ask; TV remote often didn’t even work (ex. try to adjust volume & the cartoon network appears, repeatedly); temp gauges fluctuate a lot, require frequent adjustment; someone STOLE our DND sign; hotel staff shovelled front walkway loudly @ 8am @ a Sat.; wifi sign-in requested repeatedly & then didn’t work AT ALL 1 day; a different day, all the water was orange (sink, tub, ‘n’ toilet); snowplow beeping loudly & repeatedly @ our parking lot @ 5am @ a Sat.; water @ entire hotel (or city?) went kaput morning day checking out (when we were rushing anyways—disability); key expired day we were checking out before that, when we were rushed, esp b/c of water issue The insisted-upon-by-the-motel-owner-visiting-our-room-w/out-warning-&-even-coming-inside-(!) “cleaning” EVERY DAY W/OUT EXCEPTIONS: put 2 dirty towels there + NO soap (took ours w/out stocking) + ignored our simple safety/disability request re *not* uncovering the window (but crumpled the note it was on); then it was done inappropriately differently each day, often taking our soap w/out replacing it + putting both toilet seats UP; had to go no matter what—even day experiencing intense disability flareups; stole at least both soap & Kleenex instead of stocking those; tossed our note once; evidence of our stuff being touched for NO reason; our DND sign was stuck to the wall using our post-its once, suggesting a more personal B&E; evidence of our stuff being stolen, including from the fridge—so we stuck a “do not open” sign there & then the motel cleaning staff put a long, curly hair in there… Pros: motels are preferable re not requiring a mask (‘cept @ lobby of course) + less crowding; windows easy enough to cover sufficiently & door easy enough to wedge closed; microwave; decent shower water pressure; toilet doesn’t break (til day before we relocated); dressing area

The room was fine. Clean, bed was comfortable. Interesting décor lighting. When we checked in there was a boys hockey team checking in so I worried about our plan for a relaxing spa before dinner. I was right to worry. It was overrun by young teen boys with almost no supervision. We decided to try again after dinner. Our reservation was for 6:30 and we were finally served after 8:30. We saw couples who had arrived close to us get served, pay and leave before we had our main course. When I got our server's attention I asked her if there was a problem with our order and she said Oh no its just very busy, although by this time it was thinning out. Suddenly our order was there, with much apologies about the wait and how busy it was, but the meal was clearly forgotten. I ordered the ribs and fries and it was cold. My wife's seafood pasta had obviously been sitting under a warming light as the mussels on top where dried out. Just not what $28 each should get us. Anyway, it was out anniversary so I didn't cause a fuss, and was hoping for the nice spa later, but we arrived late because of the meal, it closes at 10pm, and there were empty cans and bottles about and while we did enjoy the dip, it was still a little crowded for our liking. The sauna at least was our last experience and it was good. As mentioned, the bed was fine, but then some yahoo with a huge sound system blared it in the parking lot, or adjoining property and woke both of us for a good 5 minutes. Overall, I would say, not too happy with the visit. Sorry, got to call it as I see it.

reservation for 3 nights, had to change room 3 times; AC did not work in 1st room, was offered a fan (which would just move the hot air around) not really a solution when its 31 degrees outside; had to insist to get room with working AC; was assigned another room for the rest of my stay; to my surprise the next morning was told I had to move again because the room had been rented last night for the next 2 days to someone else; had to get my things out before heading out for the day. Noticed a big chain wrapped around the handles of the front door, only access is through the back door. Thought I would give this place a chance, since I travel through Ottawa/Gatineau every few months; low price is not sufficient to entice me to go back. Good: room and bedding clean / mattress confortable / good water pressure and hot water Bad: Reception staff is confused and disorganized, the woman manning the desk on the 2nd day was curt, very unpleasant to deal with / very minimum breakfast option (i.e. only one type of tea offered, if you don't like Earl Grey, you are out of luck)

The hotel is very clean, the front desk is very welcoming and the bed is very comfortable. The location is very good, opposite the museum and a bridge to the Capitol Hill, the bridge is very beautiful. The hotel parking is 17.5 yuan after tax for one day, and the car can enter and leave at will during the stay. After check-out, you can stop until 5 pm (but can only stop, can't enter after going out).

The booked king suit suite, the room size is large, suitable for family travel. Canada does not provide disposable items by default. It is best to bring your own toiletries, especially slippers. There are no disposable slippers here. If you go to the front desk to ask for it, provide recycled foot cover (avoid the floor cold in winter) This is generally only available at 3 pm. It is best to have an ihg member. Otherwise, you can't check in before 3 o'clock and you need to pay 25 CAD separately. When the hotel is busy, the member's late check-out cannot be used. This should be noted. It is recommended to book a room facing the west side, and the sunset is very beautiful in the evening. If you are traveling by car, it is recommended to go to the park by the river, 5 minutes drive, there is a large green area, you can see swarms of wild Canadian geese.

I booked 3 rooms as I took my associates to Spa Nordik. We checked in late at night and it was seamless, staff was friendly, lobby looks wonderful. The rest of the hotel though, at least the seventh floor needs updating and repairs. More effort needed to be put on cleaning, very disappointed of the cleanliness of two of my three rooms. Every other BW I stayed at had breakfast included, here there is a $15 charge for a continental breakfast. You can spend about $15 elsewhere and get a full breakfast with bottomless coffee. All I wanted in the morning was a fresh coffee, I did not want to spend an additional $90 for myself and associates just for coffee. I was willing to pay for the coffee but was told “it was not an option.” Really folks? I think the owner, manager, and BW chain should be embarrassed about this. $220 for each room, and I was not able to buy a coffee, in fact a multi million dollar business like BW should’ve just given me one. embarrassing
