The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Navarino

The Romanos property at Costa Navarino is absolutely spectacular. From the beautiful setting and surrounding, to the incredible staff, you will just love every second being there. My family and I have spent multiple vacations here and we just keep coming back year after year. The landscaping along with all of the beautiful trees, plants and flowers will be a breath of fresh air. The property is absolutely spotless. Modern and up to date. You are greeted by every single member of their team with a kind and welcoming smile. The food selection at Romanos is fantastic, covering every culinary category. The breakfast buffet at Pero is one of the best you will ever encounter. The entire staff is amazing, particularly Maria who is originally from Chicago, and will make you feel like one of the family. The beach will add peace and serenity to your entire being.

We just celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Romanos and cannot recommend it highly enough. The setting, the facilities, and the food choices are all amazing. The staff are unmatched and went out of their way to make our stay special with unexpected flowers, gifts and extras on our actual anniversary. Hiring a car and driving from Kalamata airport was easy. Loads to explore outside the resort, as well, if you are adventurous. (not that you would ever need to leave the beach or pool side!)

We have just spent 4 nights in this little corner of heaven. The resort is beautiful, nothing is an eye sore and everything just gels together. The pools and the beach are excellent. Our room had an infinity pool which made our whole experience extra special and fun. The restaurants throughout the property are all impressive and delicious. We had lunch every day at Barbouni on the beach and had some of the tastiest seafood and salads we’ve had in Greece. Above all, though, what makes Romanos special is the people. From the valet guys who greeted us on our first day, to the receptionists, the buggy drivers, the waiters, the housekeeping staff, pool attendants, beach attendants we have not met a single person we were not impressed by. They are cheery, polite, helpful men and women who sincerely seem to care that we have a good time there. I don’t how Romanos manages this level of consistency but it’s really the secret sauce here and my hat’s off to them. We certainly hope to be back next year.

November 2024 We were a group of approximately 72 people, there for an annual golf tournament . This time it was Costa avarino. Out good fortune had us booked at this lovely resort for 5 nights. I must say it was by far, the best, of all the top places we have played / stayed at. The service at all levels, starting from the bell desk, buggy drivers, waiters, reception staff, housekeepers, restaurant staff and all those that I have forgotten, was simply immaculate. NOTHING was too much to ask for. Every request was met with “certainly sir”. The quality of the room was absolutely next level. The quality of the food in every single restaurant, mind blowing along with then quality of service. No matter what i asked for , not only was it delivered, but delivered with a smile. This resort is absolutely humongous hence u need a buggy to get you from one place to another. Buggies were just a phone call away. Whenever one was called for, it arrived extremely promptly, not like other huge resorts where one is waiting endlessly. Truly, truly one of the finest, if not the finest resorts i hv ever had the pleasure of staying at. The standard of golf courses is absolutely next level. The service of the golf staff was even more special (if that was possible). Absolutely loved it. Would recommend to anyone even remotely considering this resort. The one thing i felt slightly sad about was not getting the points on my marriott bonvoy account I was told that this was because of it being a group booking. However, i felt that loyal members should still have been hv been accomodated. I would go back in a second, it was that great. The quality of people made it all the more special. We had a truly wonderful stay at The Romanos. The hotel is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, impeccably clean, and surrounded by elegant spaces that invite relaxation. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for making our experience so special. A very special thank you goes to Ioanna Skrebou at the reception and Giorgos Karoutas from the Romanos pool for their exceptional kindness and warm hospitality. Their genuine care and friendliness made a lasting impression on us.

We celebrated our wedding at the Romanos in September and it was just amazing! The resort is fantastic and very family friendly with great pools and facilities. There is a great variety of restaurants our favourites being Flame, Kooc, Da Luigi’s and Barbouni. We also tried Oliviera at the Mandarin Oriental which is 10mins drive away and that was also fabulous. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach which was a beautiful set up. What sets the Romanos apart is the staff. Everyone we met were extremely friendly and professional. As we stayed in a suite (which I would highly recommend for a family with 2 separate rooms) we had a butler Tassos looking after us. Tassos is just amazing! Such a lovely person and excellent customer service - above and beyond what I have seen before. Tassos played a huge part in making sure our wedding day and whole trip was perfect. Virginia who was our wedding coordinator was also great and really helpful. I had a few treatments at the spa which is fantastic and Stella at the hair salon did a wonderful job also! The kids club staff are excellent too. I would not hesitate to recommend the Romanos for a 5 star family holiday! We will be back soon!
