Hotel Garden is a small family run hotel, and you are certainly made welcome. The hotel is situated across the main road a mear 4 minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and the ferry port. Perfect location. The hotel itself is beautiful, we were given a room that over looked the pool and stunning views of the lake. Breakfast was of good quality. For a hotel the drinks prices were excellent. Lunch was well worth the money, the portion sizes were amazing. The staff will help in anyway possible and there to help with even the smallest requests. If staying in Garda then I highly recommend Hotel Garden, you won’t be disappointed.

I am just back from my 12th(!) holiday at Hotel Garden. From the minute I arrive I relax and feel like I am visiting old friends. This time I was with my sister, but in the past I have also stayed alone and Garda is such a safe and welcoming area. The hotel is family-run....with a warm welcome from Maddalena and her brother Carlo, as well as their mother Maria who visits often. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, the pool area is spacious with plenty of sunloungers available throughout the day. Breakfast in the light and airy restaurant is excellent. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the lakeside and the many bars and restaurants, as well as the ferry stop. The bus station is also very close, so it is easy to travel to towns around the lake. Special mention must go to the restaurant and bar staff...especially Michele (who has been there for many years!), Dana and Carmen. Also to Corrado on reception (always very helpful and knowledgeable), and to the new lady (German, sorry but we didn't learn her name) who was coping very well on her first week! Finally, thank you to Lucia (housekeeping) for her daily chats with my sister and me, allowing us to practise our Italian! She always remembers us. I recommend Hotel Garden for a relaxing and special holiday on the shores of beautiful Lake Garda. Thank you!

We have just returned from a wonderful 11 days in Lake Garda. This hotel gives meaning to the phrase 'great things come in little packages'! The staff were attentive, food was good, and location was everything! Loved the pool area - always plenty of sunbeds and never crowded. Amazing cleaning service - unobtrusive, fast and efficient. Would say the hotel is best suited to couples rather than families. Had a very genteel air about it! Hope to return...

One of the nicest hotels we have been to. The family who own and run the hotel have done an excellent job of ensuring that guests have a very relaxing holiday. Location is perfect - just a few minutes walk from the town, bus and ferry connections, but very peaceful. Nice swimming pool and well-maintained gardens and terraces. Rooms very clean (thanks to the excellent and unobtrusive cleaning staff), bed very comfortable. The staff are all very friendly, with a good sense of humour. Special mention to Corrado on front desk and to Carmen, Dana and Michele who served breakfast and lunch and were so attentive and patient. We can 100% recommend the Hotel Garden!

Breakfast was a highlight, eggs of your choice cooked to order, served by friendly staff. The rest of the choices were buffet style and plentiful, replenished when needed. The bread was amazing too. The room we were allocated was on the first floor with lake view, only the very tall trees obscured our view, perhaps they could be trimmed a little. Room had a free very small digital safe, would not fit an iPad or our camera. Bathroom had the usual requirements, the only disappointment was the shower pressure, it was one of the worst we have experienced, we didn’t mind the small cubicle! Towels were changed daily and were large and fluffy. Pool towels in room on arrival. No tea/coffee making facilities, we knew this and took our own, there is a mini bar fridge so we bought fresh milk. There was plenty of hanging, shelf and drawer space for clothes etc. In the room you are given a handle hanger for do not disturb (red) and come in (green), when we were later going out we put the red side to show the room was not available for cleaning, the maid completely ignored this, knocked, must have counted to three as I couldn’t get there before she unlocked the door! It happened again on check out day, time to vacate room given as 11am, but again she unlocked our door at 10am before we could answer it, she even had our door hanger in her hand!! Just a bit of training on this would eliminate the issue. Other guests had also spoken about this issue. We ate lunch once at the hotel and it was very good and served by the same staff from breakfast so very happy with that. A daily special is given every day. Being early May the pool was cold, but even so people were using it. There were plenty of sun beds around at this time of year. The bar was well used in the evening by lots of couples, only one night was a bit rowdy with a group of men enjoying themselves. In general the hotel has a lovely feel to it, an older guest dynamic, staff were friendly and always said hello, they answered any questions we had in our weeks stay. We would definitely stay again when visiting Garda.

Arrived a little flustered, met at the desk by a lovely friendly gentleman ‘Corrado’. Smooth check-in and escorted to our room. First impression of the room was that it was a little dated but air conditioning worked well and the beds were good quality & firm and lots of lovely fluffy towels. After a short time we appreciated our room and grew to like it very much. The balcony was large, with seats and small table and a canopy for shade. There was a great view of the lake and town. Best of all, the nights were peaceful and we had great sleeps. No noise from neighbouring rooms or housekeeping. Housekeeper Ilalia tended our room every day and we had regular fresh linen & towels. Breakfasts were delightful. Nice selection of fruit, bread, spreads, delicious cakes, & eggs cooked to order. Lunches were reasonably priced and very tasty with good choice of dishes. We were served by Carmen, Michela, Sylvia, & Dana. Always smiling and helpful. Fantastic service. The general hotel interior was spotless and full of Italian charm & character. Lots of original artwork on the walls. Lucas’s bar was very pleasant and not at all expensive. Great view of the pretty gardens and pool area from the bar. Alexandra manned reception in the evenings. She was helpful and easy going. It was a pleasure to become acquainted with her and chat about the local area and her homeland, Germany. The pool was a great size and really clean. Sun beds were robust, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed Garda. A beautiful town with lots of character. Our top Would be to stay away from the harbour front and head to restaurants on the other side of the main road. Our favourite was PEGASO (great food, not expensive but best of all GREAT service). Also enjoyed Pizza Jolly. It’s a shame the hotel didn’t offer evening meals, we would definitely have eaten in if it had. Just to mention the gym and tennis courts. Both well maintained. If we hadn’t had such high temperatures we would definitely have made use of them but as it was, it was too hot for us to contemplate!

Very nice hotel in a super location for the Garda area as the town and main lake front are just a short walk away where there is a fantastic range of bars, restaurants and shops. Short walk away from the bus station (expect them to be usually running late in the high season !) and from the ferry terminal. We had a lake-front room with a good size balcony and appreciated the view but the room was a little dated and the shower cubicle was very small as am I, so it would be quite challenging for a larger person. Plenty of hanging space but drawer space was limited. We needed the assistance of the hotel too with a plug adapter as the typical European one did not work (suspect it is because it is a slighter older property which we have encountered in Italy before). Short walk from a lovey bakery in the heart of the town but only open in the morning. Good supermarket just beyond the bus station which was useful for snacks, cold drinks and souvenirs. There was a mini bar in the room but we just purchased our own cold drinks. We only took breakfast from the hotel which was very good with a nice cold buffet selection with fresh eggs cooked on request. The cakes were amazing !. Absolutely loved the pool area. No grabbing of beds in the early morning and there was always one available if you went out sightseeing for a couple of hours. Pool towels were left in your room on arrival and mattresses for the sunbeds are beside the pool. In August the pool temperature was just lovely. There is a service available around the pool for cold drinks and lots of folk were taking lunch too but we didn't try this. On a final note there is a good local market in Garda on Friday if you enjoy a bargain or two !.
