Hotel Villa Anthea

We very much enjoyed our 3-day stay at Hotel Villa Anthea in Garda. Great location. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Coffee ea maker much appreciated. The staff was incredibly helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations. Radu went above & beyond to meet our requests. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Prefect place to stay if in Garda.

Small hotel in a wonderful position that is made brilliant by the staff who can not do enough for you. Breakfast is served I a room downstairs that is spotless. The room and bathroom were quite small but we were out all the time in lovely Garda.. beautiful and clean though

Excellent small hotel that delivers everything we required for our stay in Lake Garda. The hotel in very clean throughout, lovely terrace, and pool area, with good selection of food and drinks. Our room was 204, small but very well designed, we were very happy, good air con for the hot days, tea / coffee making facilities, excellent Wi-Fi, and even good tv with YouTube and Netflix loaded. Bed and Breakfast is the food option, again excellent choice for ourselves with options for most tastes. Best of all, the staff are very welcoming and friendly, many thanks to Sara, Rosy, Radu, Davide and to those whose names we didn’t know. Well done to everyone for making our stay very enjoyable. Lovely small and very clean hotel. It is perfectly located just 2 minutes away from the main front with lots of restaurants and the ferry terminal. Bus station is just around the corner too. Verona is only about 50 minutes away. There’s a great selection of quality food for breakfast and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They arranged early breakfast for us without us asking after checking with us what our departure time was. If you’re after a quiet, small hotel then this is the place that serves as a good base for sightseeing.

The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the lake coming out of the hotel look both right and left and you can see a view of the mountains. The hotel itself is very very clean the small poolside area immaculately clean being a diabetic I have to be carefull with my feet and felt so confident having bare foot as it was so clean. Staff were very friendly funny and so helpful nothing was a problem to them and the owner was so knowledgeable on showing you places to go and how to get there and by the best way for value for money. Breakfast was a wide range of freshly made food. Even a honeycomb for fresh honey. Rooms were immaculate and everytime you got back there were freshly made beds and all clean. Our bed was huge. Loved the little tip cards and how to stay eco friendly with eco friendly products and kettle and tea coffee facility in room TV and enough plugs sockets requiring 2 prong adaptor if from uk. Only advisory was you paid for the hotel tax and all drinks food purchased through your stay at the end of your stay something we went used to but we had only round 8 drinks and the tax through our three day stay and was only around 43 euros total. Balcony was small but OK for a quick fresh air in room wasn't an issue as your out all day surrounded by the beautiful mountains and lake. When i say the place was so clean i mean it was immaculate everywhere and when ordering food or drink it's brought to you. The hotel was great for organising they contacted us the day before we left to see what time we were lleaving we left at 6am aand they provided us with a villa anthea back pack with breakfast in it ready for us as we were leaving before the 7.30 breakfast start. Towels were provided round pool if needed and they send you an email if you wanted to checkout online instead. Reception has a mass of leaflets and trips for information we didn't even need to contact our rep as there was so much at reception already. We got moved from another hotel to this one and felt we actually got a better hotel than the one we were going to. Would highly recommend this hotel right next to ferry about 5 min wwalking order to visit other parts of the lake and lake were you can sit in a restaurant and watch the sunset behind the mountain. We have just returned from this wonderful small hotel. Ideally situated within a 5 minute walk to the lake with its ample bars and restaurants . However, its location is lovely and quiet. The hotel is spotlessly clean. It has omfortable rooms with wonderful aircon, toiletries, hairdryer and has a super eco friendly approach. Breakfast is fresh, plentiful with wonderful home made cakes. This hotel is a gem. We would like to mention all the staff that make this hotel such a fantastic destination for a perfect holiday. Ilda, Valentino and Christina who keep the hotel spotlessly clean. Radu, Sarah and Rosie on reception who greet you with a lovely welcome. Davide, desy and Francesca thank you for the fabulous fresh tasty breakfast. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing hotel... perfect location. Staff very helpful without being overbearing. Food in restaurant is first class...catered to my vegetarian needs no problems. Only a short walk to the lake and local amenities. Just perfect

We spent a week at the HVA from 21-28 June and we agree with all the excellent reviews that have been written. The hosts Sara and Radu (what a sense of humour - thank you for listening to my stories) are perfect, nothing too much trouble for them and the rest of the staff have exactly the same work ethic and service with a smile and are full of fun - Rosey, David and a lovely girl called Daisy serving the drinks/snacks - prices excellent, 5euro for a pint and 5 euro for a Aperol spritz - please give them your service. The cleaners and other staff who I did not get the names of just follow the ethos of the hotel and are so helpful and obliging and rooms kept to a very high standard. The hotel is spotless, breakfast excellent once you have mastered the coffee machine! Location perfect and the recommended restaurants we used we thoroughly enjoyed: Pegaso on the door step and vg value for money (there is also a supermarket, green grocers (excellent fruit), post office in close proximity) 4/5 minute walk to the bus station (vg service and inexpensive). The restaurant La Bassola a 5 minute walk owned by two brothers Gianni and Marcos who were perfect hosts too and food and service very good. We booked three trips through Sara & Radu to Verona, Venice and a boat trip to Salo and we enjoyed them all. Sara also advised us of a trip to Monte Baldo and the cable car which was worth the effort and it certainly was we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (we went on a Sunday which was fairly busy but not over crowded you get the Riva Del Garda bus and get off at Malcesine about a 40 minute journey along the coast road and a very pleasant. Malcesine is certainly worth a wonder through and to grab a drink or ice cream or both and then the lovely journey back to Garda. Sara also recommended a visit to the Garda Town market which takes place every Friday it is a very big market and worth a gentle wander around all the stalls on display (and there are many) and calls for a drink or two when you have walked enough! There was also live music on most nights in Garda town featuring local bands and it was great fun to dance or people watch whilst sipping a night cap or two. This was our first visit to Lake Garda and it won't be our last and staying at the HVA, Garda town is a must.
