Garda Hotels with Bars

We have just returned from two wonderful weeks at Poiano Resort in the hotel. This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. We had two standard rooms one of which had probably the best view I've ever had from a hotel balcony, the other one was pleasant although not as stunning. The rooms themselves were of a high standard equipped with ample storage space, fridge, TV, kettle and a hairdryer in a decent sized bathroom. Regular servicing/cleaning took place and were maintained to a high standard. The resort has a relaxed family feel but service levels are high particularly in the restaurant. We stayed half board and along with a good varied breakfast, enjoyed a set meal type menu in the evenings. We had wondered what the choice would be like in the evenings but need not have worried. There was salad bar, followed by two courses that you choose on the day then dessert buffet. The starter/mains were meat, fish and vegetarian choices and offered a lovely range of authentic Italian food. We tried lots of dishes which we probably wouldn't have done otherwise and never ate the same thing twice (except the tiramisu but when in Rome...) Absolutely delicious!!! Food and drink orders were taken at the table by the range of attentive waiters and the house wine was particularly good and only cost 2.5 Euros a glass. The resort has a large pool with lots of sunbeds, and other sporting facilities. There are some activities available in the day; football, water polo etc, which were fun options but didn't overly intrude on the peace. The local area is easy to explore by bus, or boat and plenty to keep both adults and 3 teenagers interested. Overall a fantastic holiday. Wish we were still there!

The weekend of the end of June of the son and his girlfriend was ruined by the notice of unauthorized entry into ZTL. ingress that was indicated by the Hotel Directorate to the staying for the discharge of baggage ('passed calms'). After 2 months and a half on September 10, it is verbally notified by Euro 76 that becomes Euro 101 if you pay it after 5 gg. I called the Municipal Police Command to explain the incident ... providing evidence of confirmation of the stay booking ... Because the email sent to the hotel by me has not been followed up. The Command explained that it is the Hoteller who sends the traveller's vehicles plate to justify entry to ZTL...ma reading other reviews I find that the ”communication defect” of the Hotel Directorate is repeated : The hotel is a very bad place to make a pleasure. allows ...expenditure that the non-communication hotel is required to pay to the Municipal Police. You can always choose where to stay in Garda!
