Hotel Tarayana

Parking issues are there as the cab cannot stay much in front of your hotel. Taste of the food is below average. Rooms are small as compare to the room charges and service of the hotel.

. We had booked a specific type of room through makemytrip, but upon arrival, we were given a different room that didn’t meet our expectations. Despite our reservation clearly stating what we had booked, the hotel staff was unhelpful in resolving the issue. To make matters worse, the tv in the room was not working, and even after reporting it to the staff, no effort was made to fix it during our stay. This really affected our overall experience as we were unable to relax and enjoy the amenities promised. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their services for future guests. I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

I had visited for 4 days in April 2022 to Gangtok with my family. We had booked this hotel prior to our reaching there. I was glittery before reaching there as I am not someone who frets over rooms but I need clean rooms and specially bathrooms clean with hot water. I was pleasantly surprised as they just don't have huge good rooms but neat , clean and bathrooms with hot water. The hotel is well placed on the main road where you will reach MG road in 5 mins( downhill) and share taxi stand in 3 mins. The hotel staff is very co operative and don't mind running up and down to get your requests done. Mr. Shiv Sinha , one of their staff is very very efficient and however late or early he is there to do your chores. Just one thing- the hotels there don't have lifts, so when you walk up hill after shopping take a break at the reception to get your breath back and then proceed to your room from the heritage wooden stairs. The food is excellent with good quantity. Take a break and visit gangtok to stay at TARAYANA and walk around and visit places.

Overall great experience throughout the stay. Location :-- Very near to MG road yet at some distance to maintain the peace Staff :-- Very polite, helpful staff specially Mr. Shiva. Prompt service. Manager was very helpful and polite. Helped us in managing taxi, places to visit. Food :-- Is value for money. Tasty and affordable. Rooms :-- Spacious (we were 3). We got back side room, drawback was that window opened in hotel alley, also there were no fans or air conditioning. Hence lacked some ventilation, difficult in drying clothes.

This hotel provides amazing accommodation facilities with dining. The staff were well behaved and have tried their best to comply with our wishes. One of the staff Shiba Kumar Sinha has been very helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Front Office Manager Mr. Inder Sinha is very helpful and takes personal care of the guests. He would provide all the information about sightseeing etc. His other staff especially Mr. Raj kumar is full of energy and would respond promptly for any service sought. We took most of our meals in the hotel restaurant as they would cook fresh, tasty and homelike food at market competitive rates. We never had any acidity or stomach upset problems. location is very close to M G Marg
