Shillamonogram Gangneung Residence

I usually have a decent time staying in a decently-conditioned accommodation, but this place is so terrible I can't help but leave a review. I understand it can't be perfect on its opening day. But if it's this unprepared and in shambles, I think the opening should have been postponed. 1. I drove my electric car, but they said there was no electric charging. They said there were facilities, but they couldn't use them because of some contract issue. I was anxious from the moment I arrived. 2. There was no queue system. There were machines, but the power wasn't on. The lobby was small, and people were just lined up, blocking the entire lobby. It felt like a market. 3. The worst part was the pool. As soon as I checked in (after 3pm check-in), I got ready and went downstairs. They said there were too many people and I couldn't enter. They didn't even take me to the queue and told me to come back at 6pm. They didn't take any action and just told me I couldn't enter. Dozens of people who had checked in and left screamed and caused a scene. The lobby was overflowing with people, and when I complained, the general manager came and told me to go back. 4. The staff at the pool were incommunicado. I tried to reserve a cabana, but they just told me to use any available space. (I was wondering if there were places where people could use a cabana without a reservation, so I left my luggage there. This time, the security guard told me not to use it, and there was no communication between the staff. It felt like it wasn't working.) I don't know either. Reactions like this. 5. Room There were reviews before the opening, using a test stay voucher. There were a few baby handprints on the mirror. A previous guest's checklist was also on the table. The hair dryer and storage pouch were stuffed inside. The residence had a sofa bed, but they said there was no extra bedding. 6. No Wi-Fi There was Wi-Fi at check-in, but after dinner, the Wi-Fi didn't work at all all night. And there was no data. (I felt it was pointless to ask, so I don't even report it to the front desk anymore.) To put it simply, it was a total mess. It's amazing that they opened in this state. The staff weren't friendly, and everyone was complaining, making them seem soulless. Everyone was excited for the opening day, relying on the Shilla name. But they received terrible service, and their vacation was completely ruined.

I went to the hotel to have a comfortable breakfast, swim, and relax, but the restaurant was ridiculously small, the pool was awful, and the service and hygiene were terrible. It took at least an hour to eat breakfast, and the tables weren't even cleaned properly. Why should I sit on a table covered in broccoli and breadcrumbs? The cutlery was often not washed properly, and they didn't even check it. If you don't make a reservation for the pool early in the morning, the wait can be two or three hours, so I told them to go to St. John's and have fun. If that's the case, why stay there instead of here? And I stayed for several nights, and they didn't even provide towels. Why didn't they clean up after lunch? I didn't want to run into them when they cleaned up, so I left for five hours, starting around lunchtime. They hadn't even cleaned up. I called and they said they'd come around 6 p.m. to fix it, but I felt a little awkward and left again. Why should I pay to be out and about? Is this really the Shilla? It was the worst waste of money and time on my summer vacation.
