Salt Spring Inn

We used to go to the Saltspring Inn pretty regularly but it just feels like they've given up. I know the place has been for sale for a while but it used to be generally good. The last couple of times I've been in there (not by choice), the food has been really lacking. It always seems expensive for the low quality that you get.

This is a very nicely maintained old building. It's spotlessly clean and room had a great bed. I noted fans sitting in the hallway and suspect it might be very warm on hot days, but with daytime highs in the 60F range, it was very pleasant with the window open. The owner was very accommodating on arrival time and securing bicycle. The great restaurant conveniently located downstairs is a plus.

Staff was really friendly and informative. We stayed overnight in the Deluxe Queen room. The room was very clean and we were happy to have our own bathroom. The bathroom lighting is very dim which made it challenging to shave (husband) or apply makeup. Also note that is was 15°C (~65F) and the room was almost too warm. There is no air conditioning. We did open the window. We would not stay here in the summer, the room would be too hot. The hotel is located on a busy street, so was noisy until about 10:30. Great location for walking to the shops and the Saturday market.

I’ve stayed on Saltspring Island many, many times; cabins, hotels, Airbnb‘s and camping but this time I decided to try the Inn. Going forward, I will probably never stay anywhere else ever again! The room was lovely with lots of charm and a super comfy bed. The entire place was impeccably clean and the staff were fabulous! The restaurant downstairs was great (I often eat there when on Saltspring). This time I had their mango ice tea - the best ever! You cannot beat the location as it is right in the heart of Ganges, amidst all the action. For the price, I didn’t have high expectations and I can honestly say I was very pleasantly suprised . 315.00 for 2 nights for 2 of us during peak season!! This charming place is lovely on it’s own but add in the fabulous staff and you have a definite winner! See you soon guys! Xx

Really well situated in Ganges. The ensuite room was comfy, shower excellent. The rooms overlooked the Main Street but it was pretty quiet all the same. Friendly staff happy for me to leave my bags when I arrived early. Excellent breakfast, and good meals all round. Very pleased with my choice
