The only advantage is that the location is very good, 5 minutes walk from the pier, and there is a very good Italian restaurant next to the hotel. As for the hotel itself, there is nothing good about it. Dark and damp room, shabby and noisy air conditioner, trash cans that haven't been sorted for used toilet paper...will never stay again.

Pros: Room was clean. Many ports/outlets for charging. Access to outside was good design. Shower pressure and hot water decent. Keurig machine available. A/C was pleasantly quiet. Location was convenient. Okay selection for breakfast Cons: Bathroom fan noisy when in use. No recycling bins. No safe. Parking not free. Expensive on certain days of week. Breakfast eggs were pancake form rather than scrambled.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites as a family of 4 and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. It is a comfortable hotel, not luxurious, but comfortable and well equipped with an indoor pool, plenty of parking (payable) and a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff who worked hard to keep everything topped up even at the end of the time slot. There are nice restaurants nearby and a museum, 1000 islands cruises and beach all within easy walking distance. Much smaller than the town of Kingston we were very happy with our choice to stay here. The locals are super friendly and very welcoming.

They don’t tell you when you book, nor will it be on your confirmation that there is an additional $15 parking fee. For a roadside motel that is ridiculous. The rate quoted and confirmed is not the rate you pay on check in. I don’t imagine they have too many people arriving on foot at this motel.

The beds are amazing! Love the 2 kinds of blinds vs the usual dusty old curtains! The bathroom was well stocked with towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite a bus tour coming in and the front desk being a bit busy they remember my husbands request! Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice! No vegan/ gluten free choices that I could see( we have a person in our group that requires that) but maybe I was tired and didn’t look enough!? I would stay here again in a heartbeat! We were in the newer section and the rooms were modern and CLEAN!

Very short walk to the waterfront and boat tours. Hotel is clean and everything in the room worked. We were put in the "new" section on the top floor. Our room was small with very small windows facing the street. Not recommended if you are claustrophobic. Also there are approximately 20 steps up through the entrance to the room so be aware if you have lots of luggage as we did. By far the biggest and most frequent complaint we heard at breakfast from other guests was the noise from doors slamming shut. The doors to the rooms in this hotel closed with a loud bang that could be heard from below and from the hallways. So a quiet night's sleep on the weekend was difficult as partygoers came back late and fishermen got up early.

The hotel is very clean. No weird smell. You can always see employees cleaning. The room is very clean, the bedding is soft, the beds are comfortable. Very good value for the price. Breakfast is included. They have omelettes, sausages, home fries, assorted breads and muffins, donuts, cereal, oatmeal…. Let’s not forget the automated pancake machine so fun! Staff is very efficient and friendly. The location is fantastic, you are near confederation park with the fountain and the beautiful aquatic birds. On the other side you are a 7 minute walk from the river. We will be back for sure!

In any densely city, this hotel would be a no-no. It’s old… you know, the beige wallpaper, tired carpet, loud air conditioner and popcorn ceiling. That being said, staff was friendly, price was acceptable considering other hotels around, and more importantly location is hard to beat. All in all, not bad, not great, perfectly fine what was intended.

If you plan to take a boat tour leaving from Gananoque, ON you could not find a better hotel or location. Comfort Inn is walking distance to everything. The boats, restaurants and the outdoor theater. We heard bands Friday and Saturday while we were there. They serve a full breakfast too and have an indoor pool so you can swim even if the weather is cold or rainy. As for the staff, Patty was friendly and helpful. (I think she is the manager). Also Johann, a summer student, deserves a "Thank You" too. For food, we suggest Maverick's in town. It's walking distance, just over the small bridge. We do not suggest Riva next door

A friendly staff to greet us. The location was within walking distance of the waterfront and across from a park. The room was smaller then expected as we have been spoiled by other Comfort Inns. The best part was returning to a full hot sit-down breakfast which was well attended rather then a take-away bag. The internet was spotty...apparently according to the front desk, some android phones will not connect to their server. The girl said this was an on-going problem. I did have service temporarily in the am as the system resets daily, but went out again. My android tablet was fine. Go figure...
