Staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was excellent. Bar decor lovely.location is right in the heart of the city. Loads of pubs, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend Eyre Square and a stay in the Victoria Hotel.
Saoirse was so friendly, smiley and kind and a great way to start our breakfast experience, Colin was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us he was so helpful, friendly, on the ball! He was so good to us, as was Sean too! The staff are phenomenal and an absolute credit to the breakfast, professional and friendly at all times! Will deffo be back again to see them :)
The deciding factor in choosing this hotel is free parking. Facts have proved to be very wise. What is surprising is that the hotel facilities are very sophisticated and the breakfast is delicious, especially the smoked salmon. About 30 minutes walk to the town, the hotel reception lady is beautiful and enthusiastic, and helped us book a 2017 Michelin restaurant to eat raw oysters. It was great, and it would be difficult to eat without a reservation.

What a lovely location, a gorgeous hotel and the swimming pool was great with the added bonus of an outside hot tub overlooking the sea. My room was 631 with a large king bed, desks, adequate bathroom with bath and shower, seats with table, desk and TV and all the usual facilities in a hotel room. No sockets by the bed though which is something all hotels need to have now but that was the only criticism of the room.
Staff where lovely, helpful and friendly although I give 4 stars as check-in didnt happen for 10 minutes due to no staff being at the reception, no idea why but it got sorted OK.
The hotel is clean, the room was clean, well presented and very welcoming. I had breakfast which was the normal cooked breakfast buffet, toasts, pancakes, breads, cereals, tea or coffee, juices with plenty of seating options and a view of the sea. The staff were great, the food was good and the atmosphere relaxed. The view gives you a great start to the day.
I used the pool which was great. Some families there with kids, a swimming lane, working steam room, sauna and heated jacuzzi. The outside hottub is amazing. It is a must do at this hotel. It was raiing on my stay so the outside tennis court and kids play area werent being used but its worth a mention that they have these.
Location feels remote but its only 5-10 minutes from Salthill and Galway by car. There is a petrol station beside the hotel on the main road and a small village. I guess you access the hotel by car, taxi or bus.
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a relaxed feel and the staff are friendly, but do not intrude. The bar has a great selection of beers and spirits. We had food one evening in the bar and we enjoyed it. The breakfast was self service with the option to order and was enjoyable. The hotel was a €13 taxi to Eyre Square.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and it was perfect for what we were looking for. Reception were friendly, the location is as central as you can get and we didn’t have road noise, room was clean and comfortable 🥰 For the price, it is what you would expect, we will definitely be back for our next short stay in Galway 😁 Only thing to note was we could hear slight noise of TV and chat from other rooms, this didn’t effect us though 🥰
Our stay here was at the end of the trip and our second time in Galway. It’s an excellent location - just a 5 min or so walk from Eyre Square and a good place to stay if you’re going on one of the ferries. The room size was as expected and comfortable for 2 people. The breakfast is cooked to order and done very well. If you need a bus, it’s on a main line for one that goes to Eyre Square/Salthill. Above all, the atmosphere is welcoming. Will definitely stay there on future trips.
Citypoint was a wonderful surprise, from the warm welcome from Wade upon arrival, the spacious parking, the beautiful apartment with huge windows from which you can see the sunrise in the morning, and the location was perfect: small grocery store on the other side of the road, and 8 minutes walking from the center of town. Only thing missing was a small shelf in the bathroom to put the shampoo and conditioner on, but this is small details. We loved it and already recommended it to our friends
Classic B & B in an old and charming house but with updated rooms that are bright and comfortable. Our room was well layed out with plenty of closet space for luggage and clothes. The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is quite big and the water pressure in the shower is superb. We did not realize the innkeepers are twins until first breakfast in the morning when both were serving customers together. We had to do a double take. It is very cute. The breakfast was ample and of good quality w/all the components of a hearty Irish breakfast. The staff is constantly replenishing the hot dishes, fruits, yogurt, etc. It fueled us so we could go on and start the day filled with touristy activities. Someone commented on how small the dining room is but we found it to be cozy. We never had to wait for a table and we went down at various times during our stay. We walked everywhere from the B & B and it was super easy to get to the town square, the old town, good restaurants, bus station, train station plus the stops to be picked up by all the day trip operators. We would have no reservation in recommending this fine establishment to our families and friends.

GGuest UserThe hostel was easy to spot on the corner of the Square when i got off the bus at the station and it was a warm welcome and efficient check in to a clean and airy room with a view onto the corner of Ayre Square. The beds were comfy enough and the bathrooms were clean. I appreciated the breakfast, which was simple but ample, and with a slight local twist. The atmosphere was good in the hostel throughout my 3 days there, and this is in part due to work of the staff. I'd particularly like to mention Tom, who was always friendly and provided good tips and suggestions when asked. The only drawback would come if you are a light sleeper. It's in a great location but remember it's a hostel in Galway right above a bar. It does get quiet for a few hours before daybreak at least. I did feel tired after 3 nights. I would go back though, but maybe for one or two night next time!
GGuest UserAbsolutely fantastic time. The room was very spacious, the bed was really big and comfortable too. Jesus at the restaurant was very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Plenty parking spaces. Taxi into town between 7-10euro.
I would definitely recommend getting the breakfast, they have fantastic choices, everything was delicious .
I will definitely come back to this hotel. Galway is absolutely amazing too, maybe a 15min walk into centre, but taxi was cheap so that's how we travelled.
AAnonymous UserI arrived late at night, but it's in a quiet area. However, it's far from the station, so it's better to take the bus. There is a supermarket on the way. If you head towards the beach, there are bakeries and small shops.
The room was clean and the shower worked without any problems. There are towels, power outlets, and other necessities. You can help yourself to tea at the cafe, so be sure to check it out.
MMichael RIt's always difficult to tell online when researching hotels if it's a good location, good service, etc. The location is hard to beat as it's right where the action is. The music does seem to go late every night (not just the weekends) so if you have a room facing the front, keep that in consideration if you're a light sleeper. Service was ok, there was a day where our room was missed so we had to inform the front desk. The front desk was very helpful. The room size was quite good for us. I would definitely recommend.

University of Galway
EEatplaysleeptravelCurrently in exchange in this university. There are both modern and old buildings and you can just take some pictures. Recommend to go to the quadrangle and the JE cairns business building, nice spot to take pictures!
Eyre Square
Jjuki235Eyre Square is located in the central urban area of Galway. It retains many remnants of historical buildings and forms a very distinctive sculpture that tells the history of the ancient city of Galway. It is also the soul of the city. It is a must-see place for tourists. You can take some photos as a souvenir.
Galway Bay
陶陶姐淘When you travel to Ireland and visit the Cliffs of Moher, you must not rush back to Dublin. You must stay overnight in Galway, a small seaside town about an hour and a half drive from the Cliffs of Moher. This can not only avoid the long and tiring round-trip driving time from Dublin, but also allow you to see the most gorgeous sunset, the purest sky, the blue sea, and a beach alone, away from the crowds and noise, and quietly feel the charm of Ireland.
Galway Cathedral
Jjuki235Galway Cathedral is the most important and largest church in the ancient city of Galway. The church is a typical Gothic building with a very large area. The decoration inside is not very luxurious, but it looks solemn. A large-scale mass is held here every weekend, and many believers will recite the Bible and pray here. It is worth visiting.
Spanish Arch
Jjuki235The Spanish Arch is the main attraction in the ancient city of Galway. It has a history of more than 400 years. It was originally part of the ancient city wall, and now only this gate remains. Now next to the Spanish Arch is the Galway History Museum, which is worth visiting.
Salthill Promenade
Jjuki235Salthill Promenade is a very famous promenade in the old town of Galway. Both sides of the road are lined with shops and restaurants of all sizes. The stone path and the ancient buildings on both sides give people a feeling of traveling back to the 1950s and 1960s. This is also a famous commercial street in the old town of Galway, which is worth visiting.
Galway City Museum
Jjuki235The Galway City Museum is located inside the famous Spanish Arch. The entire museum is not very large, but it records the history of the ancient city of Galway for nearly a thousand years. There are many cultural relics and documents preserved here, which fully introduce the development of all aspects of this ancient city. It is worth a visit for tourists.
