First, there are many many hotels right near this one, so check them out pricewise before booking (red roof, red carpet, small locals). Yes the day mgr was very rude- I was amazed when I told her that the water pitcher for the Keurig in the lobby was empty and she told me to refill it myself. I had to beg her for a granola bar at about 10:30 am - I told her that the night man had told us the night before that they were avl till noon, and she said she doubted that because he was well-trained. The night staff was much nicer. The room was clean, the bed OK, the heater worked but was very noisy. Good shower, tv, ironing board and iron, fridge, microwave and coffee maker, coffee avl in lobby all day but cups were so small the Keurig overflowed them, WaWa right across street. No clock or radio, no safe, the chain on the door was broken and not repaired, and no blanket - she said we had a comforter, but all there was was a bed spread, the kind most people take off as soon as they get into a hotel room. Apparently all of these things are ”being phased out,” which would be nice for them to tell us instead of advertising that they were avl. We had a handicapped room but we can't imagine how a handicapped person would have gotten to it as it was far from a parking space and the curb cut was always blocked by a parked car as there was no signage preventing that. Breakfast was a chocolate granola bar, if you could get one. Toilet paper holder was so far from bowl it could hardly be reached. Lots of stains, cigarette burns and spots from repairs but overall was clean. There's a vending area and ice machine but you wouldn't know it - there was no directory in the room but I stumbled upon this area. So my opinion is that it is not as bad as other reviewers have said, pretty average for a budget place - I'd stay there again if the price was the lowest in the area. But someone should talk to that day manager - a little training might improve everyone's review. Reviewing the additional questions, it said masks were required but that was not enforced- sometimes the staff was unmasked. Said non-smoking but many were smoking cigs and **** outside their room.
