Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

Great hotel it’s a little oasis. Newly decorated and extremely clean. Staff cannot do enough to help you. Food excellent in the restaurant. Asok is always there to recommend a dish, along with the chef who will cook whatever you ask for. The resort is up a little side street. You would miss the retreat if you didn’t look carefully. Pretty and green with beautifuflowers in the garden, a small refreshing clean pool. The beach is nearby and so are the restaurants. Beach has great waves! There were lots of people on the beach when we arrived! The beach is nice but not wow. We enjoy it though! Unawatuna definitely has the vibes, lovely boutique hotels, nice food and a nice beach. Also lots smiley faces and Yes we would come back! Beautiful Sri Lanka and its people. Loved it!

Wonderful place with a lush garden in Unawatuna area in the main tourist road. They let us for an early checkin so we didn’t have to wait in the lobby area. Room was spacious with modern furniture and included a minibar. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was spacious. Hot water worked perfectly. Modern fixtures too. Green villa was close to all the main attractions. Highly recommended for a calm, quiet, comfortable stay in Unawatuna area.

My review, of course, will not be about this hotel, but about the hotel of this chain, Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. We booked a room at the Thaproban Beach House Hotel, when we came to check in, it turned out that our reservation at this place was missing, and we had a reservation at the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Thanks to the Trip.com team for helping us understand and resolve issues. And the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa turned out to be much better than the Thaproban Beach House. True, it is not on the beach, but the beach is 5-7 minutes away. The hotel is super, all the amenities, large rooms overlooking the ocean. Very tasty breakfasts, 2 swimming pools on site, one with salt water. In general, I highly recommend the hotel. We really liked it. And we never regretted that we moved into it.

It's hard to know where to start with this review. From the moment we booked the general manager sent me a personalised message. We arrived greeted by a refreshing cold towel and a tour of this beautiful hotel. We booked the grand suite for 8 nights and 9n entering it exceeded my expectations. The room is huge tastefully decorated spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a small kitchen area. The veranda overlooking the pool was a gret place to have our morning coffee. The grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest and the pool and separate jacuzzi are lovely. Breakfast was a delight and they adapted every morning to our tastes. All of the staff are amazing and friendly. And the general manager is so lovely greeting us personally every morning asking about our stay and if there is anything they can do for us. All the staff were a credit to this beautiful place. Ps the private beach is stunning feels like your on a tropical island. I wish our stay was not ending tomorrow. Would not hesitate to come back. Beautiful small villa, the food is delicious, the decoration is very simple. I didn't expect to have such a beautiful hotel in a deep village, a bit far from the beach, it is recommended that those who have a car want to try the local pastoral scenery to live. I met many local families to have dinner. The boss was very nice and the overall experience was very good.

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

The hotel is on Hikkaduwa Beach, about 20 kilometers from the ancient city of Galle. The scenery is incomparable, the swimming pool is beautiful, the rooms on the second floor are almost facing the sea, and the first floor is facing the pool ... the gym equipment is a bit behind ... the breakfast is good, the local meals are mainly ... Dinner buffet at 2,000 rupees per person ... the staff are welcoming ... the surrounding facilities are convenient and the fishery is spectacular, a ten minute walk from the Hikkaduwa bus station train station ... it is very convenient to go to Galle and Colombo ... the most important thing is that the domestic uncles and aunts are very Less ... highly recommended!
