Welcome - we were greeted well on arrival As this was our last hotel on trip we requested for an upgrade. The receptionist said the hotel was full but it wasnt the case when we checked with housekeeping staff. Rooms - The rooms are pretty standard 5 star rooms with partial sea view from the room we stayed in. Service - The room service/housekeeping was very quick and efficient but the service at the pool restaurant was very dull and unwelcoming. F&B - The food and the service at the main restaurant was outstanding. This is what saved our good views on this hotel. The manager was more than eager to serve us well. Pool - The pool is very nice- very big and well maintained Beach- The beach was nothing special. Overall - A decent hotel with tough neighborly competition.

We had the most remarkable honeymoon at Saman Villas. I was back after 3 years and the property is impeccably maintained and after a major upgrade, which I could tell from the moment I stepped in. New furniture, advance lighting, brand new decor, the suites had a lovely facelift too, especially the walking closet & bathroom with indoor shower cubicle, great lighting & full mirror in the dressing room, not missing out it’s old world charms like the outdoor tub. We loved how easy & convenient it was, basically just a flick of a button to get anything. The views are next to none! I’m always lost for words to describe such majestic ocean views surrounding us from every direction. The food was fantastic! Every meal we had was absolutely delicious. All home grown, fresh ingredients. We especially loved the Sri Lankan food which was surprising as we are locals but it was different, like an elevated version of Sri Lankan flavours. The staff are really the best! After all the difficulties Sri Lankan tourism has faced since 2019, it was so refreshing to be welcomed by the same familiar faces, eager to make our stay unforgettable. Special mention to Dinushi & the GM Wester Feltman for spoiling us. Every staff member we met was equally friendly & hospitable as if it’s ingrained in their DNA. We can’t recommend Jetwing Saman Villas enough. It truly is a special place. Thank you so much for the magical & joyful stay!

It was the amazing place i have visited. Had a great welcome from front line staff. Room is perfect and had a great view. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Breakfast bufet had a wide selection of western and local food. I requested to arrange a birthday cake at the breakfast time and they were arranged a tasty cake with special birthday surprise. Overall can be give 10 out of 10.

An unforgettable experience at Riff Hikkaduwa during the weekend from 31st Aug to 01st Sep. Celebrated DS Senanayake Collage 88 Ledgen's party with 84 batchmates. From the GM to all capacities of staff were exceptionally great and the beautiful property added value because of them. The rooms were very clean, and the food was exceptional with a good spread. All staff were up till 2AM with smiling faces letting us enjoy to the maximum. We decided to visit this place even with our families. Thanks to all for lovely hospitality. Sajitha D Sumanasekera

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

We were captivated by the hospitality and friendliness of the entire staff. Special thanks go to the masterchef who every day planned various and delicious meals for us, both in European and Sri Lankan versions, and to Mr. Ravi who helped us when we needed it. Huge applause to the general manager that he was able to gather such a wonderful and committed team in one place. His personal participation had a huge impact on our positive assessment of the organization of this event. The high standards of service we experienced will remain in our memory for a long time. We have heard extremely positive opinions from the participants of our trainings regarding both the facility and the service provided. If you are planning a holiday, business meetings, training or a conference in Sri Lanka, I highly recommend to stay at the Thaproban Pavilion Hotel. It is a beautiful and distinctive facility located in an unusual place. I am convinced that we will return soon during the next foreign training courses in this region of the world. Wonderful place with a lush garden in Unawatuna area in the main tourist road. They let us for an early checkin so we didn’t have to wait in the lobby area. Room was spacious with modern furniture and included a minibar. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was spacious. Hot water worked perfectly. Modern fixtures too. Green villa was close to all the main attractions. Highly recommended for a calm, quiet, comfortable stay in Unawatuna area.

My review, of course, will not be about this hotel, but about the hotel of this chain, Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. We booked a room at the Thaproban Beach House Hotel, when we came to check in, it turned out that our reservation at this place was missing, and we had a reservation at the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Thanks to the Trip.com team for helping us understand and resolve issues. And the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa turned out to be much better than the Thaproban Beach House. True, it is not on the beach, but the beach is 5-7 minutes away. The hotel is super, all the amenities, large rooms overlooking the ocean. Very tasty breakfasts, 2 swimming pools on site, one with salt water. In general, I highly recommend the hotel. We really liked it. And we never regretted that we moved into it.

It's hard to know where to start with this review. From the moment we booked the general manager sent me a personalised message. We arrived greeted by a refreshing cold towel and a tour of this beautiful hotel. We booked the grand suite for 8 nights and 9n entering it exceeded my expectations. The room is huge tastefully decorated spotlessly clean. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a small kitchen area. The veranda overlooking the pool was a gret place to have our morning coffee. The grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical rain forest and the pool and separate jacuzzi are lovely. Breakfast was a delight and they adapted every morning to our tastes. All of the staff are amazing and friendly. And the general manager is so lovely greeting us personally every morning asking about our stay and if there is anything they can do for us. All the staff were a credit to this beautiful place. Ps the private beach is stunning feels like your on a tropical island. I wish our stay was not ending tomorrow. Would not hesitate to come back.
