"We liked this hotel very much. A spacious and clean room with partial ocean view (second line) is fully matched by the photos on the site. Everyday cleaning, water, tea and coffee is all provided for a comfortable rest.
Breakfasts are delicious, though not in the Swedish table format. Hotel location is just great! It is at the end of the Unavatuna beach, just 15 minutes walk from the main tourist street. In two minutes the only Alcomarquet, and in 20 minutes walk the turtle beach.
But the main beach right across the road! There is a cozy and quiet bay where the waves are broken down about the stones without reaching the shore. Unlike the main beach where the strong flow can carry, you can swim quietly and enjoy the soft remnants of the waves.
I would like to celebrate the staff smiling, kind and very pleasant people. Thank you for your warm reception!"

"The team made this the most hospitable and wonderful stay. Thank you to Prasad and Avi, particularly, for meeting our every need. From the wonderful pool at the main hotel, to the breakfast in the villa and the guided tour around the Fort, everything exceeded expectation. The room was also well presented and clean, with a turn down service in the evening. Attention to detail is a strong suit of the team! Hope to be back again soon."

"Needless to say jetwing, Lanka's high-end resort hotel brand. Although this is a franchise store and not a direct store, it uses its management team and its products. Small details need to be strengthened. A lot of food is shipped from the lighthouse hotel next to it, so the service time is relatively long, there is no bathtub, and the water output is slightly smaller. The manager is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The other waiters are less experienced in internships and have poor English communication skills. Overall it is good, the environment has nothing to say, the quiet and private is generally satisfactory."

"Delighted and once again delighted. Very long ago not so impressed. Interior at 10+, breakfast at 10+, magnificent staff, both outer and inner. The beach opposite the hotel was very comfortable with a 13-year-old child, it was not scared to let the child go to the water. I still want to note the driver of the tuck of the tuck from the hotel!!! And the price and quality!!! The best place on the Sri Lanka is definitely!"

"Wonderful place to stay in a great location from which to explore the Galle Fort area. Lovely hosts and a very delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Very comfortable room - the shower was ok but a bit variable. Overall, highly recommended for a stay in lovely Galle Fort. Excellent value and hospitality."

SS. N. N.Very good accommodation for the beach vacation in Unavatuna. Villa is located far from the noizy street in the living suburb, neibours are local people, so we heared no any party, just sounds of nature and tuk-tuks. All the key locations are not far from the place, wine store, friut store, small supermarcet, of course beaches, both Turtle and main can be reached by foots.
Garden is of proper care, there are some facilities there to spend evening on the air.
Public areas (hall, dinning-cooking rooms) are clean, there are big fridge, washing machine, gas owen, cookware, dishes, glasses, so you can Cook. Owner comes every evening to change trach bins and clean up halls.
Room is not big, but there are all the nesessary, bad wide enough, bed line clean and New, two big and two small towels. Air conditioner is New.

JJD75A little hidden gem we found to break up our trip between Tangalle and the airport. It’s off the beaten track, we came in via train and caught an Uber to the accomodation. We were upgraded to a larger suite on the top floor with stunning views.
The hotel was fantastic, set on magnificent grounds, the unassuming exterior descends into a modern accommodation block. Amazing views of the lake, we opted to eat our meals on the balcony soaking it all in with excellent room service, tasty breakfast and a bar / restaurant downstairs. We enjoyed the hospitality and the price point represents very good value for money. Great pool and outdoor space to relax in.
Absolutely perfect for a stop over as you venture through this wonderful country.

Stunning 5 bedroom villa located in the heart of Unawatuna with exceptional service and staff. It’s well equipped with everything you need. Great local and western food which was well prepared and flavorful (the kitchen is extremely clean and well maintained which is always a good sign). There are plenty of areas to relax with great views and the property has lots of shade and beautifully maintained landscape. Vishan and his staff looked after us very well and every request was accommodated including getting us a masseuse in house which was one of the best massages we have had. He also arranged very trustworthy and friendly tuk tuk drivers for us to go around the area. Wish we stayed here longer!!

RRobin Lou MengFrom the moment we arrived, we were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff at the reception desk, and our positive impression continued when we saw our room. It was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean and a perfect space to relax in.
Unfortunately, our enthusiasm dipped when we looked out the window. We had eagerly anticipated the sea view we booked, but found ourselves on the first floor looking directly onto the main path to the restaurant. The lack of both a view and privacy was a real disappointment.
The challenges were compounded by a local festival taking place during our stay. This rendered the beach unusable due to the sheer volume of people. Worse, the road closures made leaving the hotel a logistical headache, leaving us feeling a bit trapped. A final frustration was discovering there were no shops nearby and no convenience store in the hotel itself, so be sure to pack everything you might need.
In summary, while we can't fault the hotel on its cleanliness or the friendliness of its staff, the experience was significantly hampered by the room mix-up and the festival chaos. It wasn’t a bad stay, but it was far from the relaxing getaway we had planned.

It can be said to be the ceiling of travel.

GGuest UserAs an experienced business and leisure traveller, I was very disappointed with this hotel, which is definitely not five star. The rooms are shabby and very few of the staff are properly trained or can understand English. We booked a Delux and were given a damp dark room in the basement with a caterpillar in the shower. We insisted on changing rooms but the only available room was a suite (a nice spacious room with private pool) which cost us an additional $100. The buffet was ok, with some good Indian options, but not outstanding or very extensive. Front desk staff were generally unfriendly and did not make us feel welcome. I do not recommend staying here unless you can get a huge discount and are happy with a mediocre hotel.

SSHABIBAHMy trip to Sri Lanka staying at RIU Hotel was amazing. It was my first time booking an All-Inclusive package, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect—but overall, the experience exceeded my expectations.
There were a few areas that could be improved. The food, for instance, felt a bit low in quality, with limited options for a healthy diet. The gym was quite small, with limited equipment, and it would be great if the opening hours were extended to accommodate more guests throughout the day.
That said, the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive and professional, always anticipating guests’ needs—especially in the buffet restaurants.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the à la carte restaurants as they were fully booked and very much in demand—something we weren’t aware of in advance.
We’d definitely love to return once the monsoon season is over, as the weather wasn’t ideal during our stay. The beach, while beautiful, was unsafe for swimming at the time, which was a bit disappointing.

GGuest UserWe can not say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive to details. We arrived at 3:00am and the hotel had prepared some fruit and sandwiches for our arrival. My wife is celiac and the staff did an amazing job ensuring there were food options available for her. They even prepared traditional Sri Lankan food for us to try. The beach club gets very busy during the day but we still felt like the only guests there. This place has a great island vibe with music and different entertainment daily. We will definitely be returning before the end of our trip.

TTourAmoWe had a lovely and relaxing stay at Temple Tree Resort & Spa. The beachfront location is perfect—calm, peaceful, and great for long walks or just enjoying the sunset. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with a nice bathtub and a great view from the balcony.
The staff were friendly and always ready to help—special thanks to the restaurant team for the warm service. The breakfast was tasty and had plenty of variety. The pool and spa areas were also a great place to unwind.
