Never again. This place charged 5 star hotel prices for what was ostensibly a hostel where literally nothing worked. I checked out early and was refunded 3 nights. Terrible experience I would like to forget which is a shame because Galle was lovely.

What’s bad? A lot. Small rooms, broken WiFi, no amenities (bring your own soap and shower gel), tiny windows, a musty odour and a generally gloomy atmosphere.
What’s good? I was able to get a refund for the unused part of my stay - both my friend and I had booked rooms for four nights but left after one night only.
This is a one star hotel charging four star hotel prices. The guest in the room next to mine told me she felt depressed on her second night here, “Like a prison cell.” I agree with her.

This was a beautiful hotel. The location is great because it is inside the Galle Fort. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice. There was air conditioning and a fan. The shower drain was a bit slow which caused the water to overflow a little. We only stayed here one night, but overall a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city. The environment and rooms are good. It is very convenient to go anywhere.

The sanitation is very poor, the air conditioner can't be turned on, and then I booked 2 hotels. I said I could return one, but I didn't allow it the next day. It really reflects the characteristics of Sri Lanka, rascal

If you're looking to stay right inside the Galle fort area within a reasonable budget, then this is the place. But we had a pretty unpleasant stay as the rooms were all mouldy, literally coming off in places and there was absolutely no service except during check in. Most of the times there wasn't any staff at the reception. No water or amenities replacements each day, no generator when electricity went out. You only stay here for its location as the Galle fort and the shopping area is right beside the hotel. There are probably better hotels in the vicinity. This one is not recommended.
