Great place on a budget. We frequent this place in Galax Va when biking the new river trail and attending shows at the Rex theater. Can walk to town. Great view of the town Galax, quiet and safe Rooms are clean. Pet friendly. Fridge and microwave. Great friendly owners. No frills but we only sleep and shower. Great coffee to take on the road. Give knights inn a try if your in town

Small family hotel in great location. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Reasonably priced for season and level of accomodation. Appreciated the fresh hot coffee each morning. Will stay here again when we return to Galax.

We have stayed here many times since my first review in 2016 when I rated it one of the best Knights Inns. After missing two years here, this stay was not good. Upon rising, my wife found red welts from bug bites on her. When I pulled off the bed cover we found some kind of a creepy crawly. In addition the hotel room is showing much deferred maintenance like peeling wallpaper and loose tiles on the covered porch, a safety issue. This used to be a great bargain that I hate to give up. She won't stay here again.
