Hello everyone, I write this review with all the sincerity there is. Because I found my stay at this hotel spectacular. First of all the rooms are beautiful and very well ordered (mine was impeccable) then, the very well educated staff who attended me, the pool is beautiful and the restaurant is very cool and nice. The breakfast was spectacular, very tasty food. And finally I find it fascinating that it is close to the beach, an additional detail is that when I came from the beach with my feet full of sand, at the entrance of the hotel there is a small space to wash your feet and remove the sand from your feet. Simply wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel for all those who want a hotel close to the beach of "el rodadero".

We’ve been in Peru and Colombia for 6 weeks and this was comfortably the worst service We’ve gotten. Especially one of the receptionists gave so bad service that we actively avoided her. The only reason for 2/5 is that the other receptionist was very good ans helpful. The third (a man) used more than 20 minutes on checking us in, despite us having been checked in before and he even started attending to other people while we had to wait. Really really poor. In addition to that there’s no english spoken (despite advertising otherwise), the rooms are poorly isolated so there’s a lot of noise from outside. The aircons Seem Old because they also make a lot of noise.

It's a great option for someone who likes the beach. It's super clean. The breakfast is very good.The rooms are nice, not huge, but ample. My room had a good view and a small refrigerator. It's a very short I block walk to the beach! I first stayed there 6 years ago and stayed every year since.

Stayed 2 nights in Hotel del Mar. The hotel is not in Santa Marta, but in Rodadero, a 5 km from the city of Santa Marta. Modern hotel, good room, very clean. Very friendly too. The breakfast is good, but not outstanding. Nice to eat on the terrace at the small swimmingpool. Free water provided in the hotel. Good location, close to the sea and the promenade, and close to a lot of restaurants and shops. We went a day with open bus to Bahia Concha in Tayrona NP. Lovely day. The bus leaves very close to the hotel.

Del Mar hotel, very helpful staff, they are always attentive, rich and healthy buffet breakfasts, the beds are very comfortable, the air conditioning is very relaxing when you come from a sunny afternoon, I will definitely return

The most negative detail is that as a foreigner residing in another country, they charged me VAT without listening to my arguments. Now I am in Medellin in another hotel, and I did not pay VAT (with my Chilean document and entry into the country). They live uninformed but the worst thing is that they care little about the opinion and respect of their clients. Regarding the stay, at night you can hear a lot of noise (loud music). I thought that being in the rodeo was a plus, but I was wrong. The tours have a hard time entering and picking up passengers on time. For a family plan I do not recommend this hotel.

My stay at Del Mar was simply spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with kindness and professionalism. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the view from the window was stunning. I will definitely return on my next trip.
