We booked 6 months in advance for a 2 night stay with our 2 young children. Only a few weeks before our stay the hotel cancelled our booking. The reason they gave us was that there had been an issue with the booking system and that they had now taken a private booking for the whole property. A convenient excuse, perhaps... They offered limited to no apology and no useful help to find alternative accommodation (they sent links to a few unsuitable options, including airbnbs). Given the short notice, other suitable accommodation was either booked up or charging high last minute prices. In the end we had to cancel our visit to Gaillac. I am writing this review as a warning to others considering booking here. The most basic thing a hotel should do is to honour bookings it has taken, particularly those made well in advance, and it seems this hotel cannot be relied on to do this.

We wanted to do a wine tasting and I specifically asked before booking if it was possible on the weekend we planned. The answer was no, not on that Sunday. Then I asked if it was possible on Saturday. Yes. So I booked. Then I received another mail that the wine tasting is only possible on Saturday morning. However, I did not want to drink wine for breakfast... At this point I was really extremely annoyed, how can one be so customer-unfriendly? In addition, I contacted the good lady in English (because I am not fluent in French) and I was partly answered in French. I also found the tone of the mails very rude. Since the good people apparently do not want guests at their Chateau, I would definitely NOT recommend this place!

C’est un lieu magnifique et exceptionnel. Le lieu est parfait pour réunir nos collaborateurs L’accueil est parfait et L’équipe est aux petits soins . On est véritablement dans le premium. Chambre équipée comme il faut et on peut dej pour deux ( four micro ondes , plaques etc )

Un lieu magnifique très bien entretenu au milieu des vignobles , dans un parc plus que centenaire où les palombes ,les merles, lapins, lièvres batifolent en grande quiétude! À l’intérieur on est charmé par l’espace des lieux qui porte son histoire et le raffinement sans ostentation du décor intérieur … chambre très fonctionnelle de très bon goût… Mais le must reste l’accueil de la Dame des lieux qui met toute son énergie ,son sourire, sa disponibilité pour ses hôtes ! Un pur bonheur! sans parler du délicieux panier repas et le divin petit déjeuner servi en chambre! Je le conseille vraiment!une belle pause pour un bol d’oxygène et de douceur…

Accueil très avenant et à l'écoute. Très bel endroit avec une belle vue sur les vignes aux couleurs d'automne. Chambre à l'étage spacieuse, bien équipée, lumineuse, et aménagée avec beaucoup de goût et de qualité. Petit déjeuner gourmand et très bon. De délicieux plats préparés sont à la vente à l'accueil
