We have a memorable 5 nights stay in this cosy place with very nice and helpful owner and staffs. It just feels so warm and homely.
Locations is excellent with many eateries around, subway is within 7 minutes walk which bring you around FuZhou conveniently. 烟台山and 闽江江滨 is within walking distance.
Definitely a highly recommended place to stay!

Staying at historical building very impressive of cleanliness and friendly staff. 15 mins walk to metro station and a lot good food nearby. Definitely will go back again .

I enjoyed my stay at Hangshe. The room was comfortable and the location was very convenient. The manager and staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The staff is very very friendly! The reason why i love hostel/民宿 is because of the staff like this hotel.
The place is very convenient to go around 上下杭 (one of the historical areas in Fu Zhou 福州, not fully developed during June 2024 when i was there). Not that far away from another historical area 三坊七巷 too (bus/car is convenient).
Lots of eatery around this hostel and also places to shop. The view outside the hostel is a small river. Quite a nice view in the night.

The manager Xiao Huang is very helpful and friendly. He made tea for us and explained some history about the ShangXiaHang and Fuzhou, and the age of hotel to us which was very nice! Location is very convenience too for us to get around. The only down side of the hotel is the poor wifi and the bathroom's drainage.

What a pleasant stay and such a delightful difference from the big hotel chains.
A warm welcome by friendly staff to what I imagine a traditional homestead would look like, but with well renovated modern conveniences fused with traditional elements.
Excellent location for sightseeing, a step away from the Bund, river tour and a short ride to the Three Lanes Seven Streets area.
As a traditional homestead if you're looking for bacon and eggs breakfast not her but the dumplings, fishballs and pastries were great.
This is the kind of place I will be looking to stay at in China whenever possible.
